How to Exclude Pages From the Sidebar in WordPress

Hello,
I'm in the "Theme Options" and entering my pages I DO NOT want included in the Side Bar in the "Exclude Pages From Sidebar." I'm using the numbers that I've designated for Page Order in the Edit Page option for each page. I'm sticking in
6,9,12,15 with no spaces and clicking save changes, but the page titles still show up in my sidebar.
Any suggestions??
Thanks everyone. I'm loving this course and all of your help.

Gary, when you are editing a page, look up in the url address bar for the id for that page. It's not your order number.

For example, action=edit&post=249 the number after post is the page id. So, my page id is 249.

I think you can find it somewhere else too, but I looked around and didn't see it anywhere else.

Hope this helps.

I noticed that Marc's WOW site does not have the privacy statement in the left bar. So I copied and pasted that page to my site, but I am unable to exclude it from the left left sidebar. there is no number associated with it in the url it's just the url/privacy-statement. I tried putting "privacy-statement" in the appropriate box in the theme options and it didn't change any thing. How do you exclude pages in the left sidebar?

Kurt, you need to be in Edit Page view to see the post number. From the Dashboard, click Pages > Edit > and then the Edit option for the privacy statement page. Then take a look at the address bar. You will see something like this example:

http://domain.com/wp-admin/page.php?action=edit&post=207

The number that you see after post= is what you need to enter in the Exclude Pages from Sidebar box.

Hey guys, I've been using a Wordpress plugin called PageMash that lets you drag and drop your pages where you want them to appear. You can also choose to hide pages, and you can structure family trees too.

This functionality is awesome, hopefully there aren't any known issues with the Affilorama WP theme!
