Categories Come Out Of Borders Of The Navigation Bar

I have another issue. My site is not completely new, but it's not existing for long either (about 3 weeks). I'm having issues with the primary navigation bar (after header) in Avenue child theme. When the site is loading the categories are getting distorted little bit (change font size) and come out of their borders, and then in like 2-3 sec after the site loads, they come back to normal again.

Is this some issue with the CSS or could it possibly be connected with some plugins? The issue persists only with Avenue child theme, the others are working correctly....

Any suggestions how to fix this?

Hi Alex,

Could you post a link to your site here, or a screenshot of the error so we could look into it?
Have you tried looking at the site using a different browser?

Hope to hear from you soon.

Hi Cecille,

Here's a quick screenshot, if you need more info let me know, I'll give you the link for
the website.

http://prntscr.com/5rwanf

This happens when I first load the site and if I click refresh. I doubt it is a plugin, as I tried disabling everything, and the problem persists... so it's definitely not something with the javascripts on my site. It has to be a problem with the CSS of the Avenue theme, the others are working fine...

I also tried disabling any CSS, JS and HTML minifications for pagespeed, not working either..

i tried using all browsers, unfortunately, it's the same with every single one of them...

Any idea how can I fix this?

Thanks,
Alex

I've also noticed it has to do something with the fonts... not only the categories in the navigation after header, but the H1,H2... titles get distorted as well. So basically what happens is the first time one font gets loaded and after a few seconds it changes to the one for the Avenue theme Google Webfont: Oswald I suppose...

Also when I was testing my site last time on Internet Explorer, the font for like dew minutes remained distorted the whole time, and after that it got perfect as it should be, even after refreshing the page or visiting another page, it remained is it was supposed to... strange...

Could you paste the link to your site here so I could view it? Are you noticing the same issue on other browsers?

Did you edit the fonts for the navigation bar, or are you still using the defaults? The fonts on the first navigation bar is different from the default font which is what the second navigation bar on the image is using.

Hope to hear from you soon. All the best!

I tried everything Cecille, nothing works...
I tried changing the font for both the navigation and the H tags, it still doesn't work...
I used different browsers, nothing...

The only way to make it work is to make the default font the font for the navigation and the H tags, and that way it looks ugly...

It's definitely a problem with the css as I tried disabling all plugins, including all performance plugins that use CSS minification, and my CDN as well... It's from the theme, here's a link from my site so you can take a look:

Right now everything is set as default, as I switched back from Avenue to other themes and then back to Avenue. It uses Google Font: Oswald and the default is Arial, but until it gets overwritten it takes some time depending on the load speed and it looks kind of not professional :)

I really want to fix this before I start with some serious link building, hope you can help :D
