Silo'ing a Wordpress Site (or use X-SitePro)
Hi Guys,
I just watched a video interview about siloing being the 'thing'. Okay, so here's my question:
How do I accomplish this in Wordpress. If I understand what little research I've done, you have to set up your categories, subcategories - no problem there. But as far as internal linking within each category - that's the trick, right? Also, I read some posts about being careful about WP duplicate content issues. It all sounds cumbersome to me.
Now, to contrast, I set up a silo'ed site in XSitePro in a very short order - I never used the feature before I was just trying to see how it easy it was, and it's pretty easy. However, I would like to stay with WP because of the Google/WP love affair, plus WP has a lot of really great plugins.
Any thoughts?
Stan

mark is going to teach that, it just isnt online yet. it is still too early for siloing, you dont need to do that until your site gets around 40 + articles.

If you are using the Affilotheme (either v2 or v3), I think it gives you a silo option, though I haven't messed with it to see what it does.

Hi had a look in the Affilotheme V3 and I don't see any options...
That said, in WP, should I lay things out in categories/subcategories anticipating getting over the 40 article mark? I'm trying to set up the internal structure right the 1st time so when I start doing link building, I don't have redo stuff. Also, what permalink 'style' are you recommending?
Best Regards and Thanks!

silo option is in the theme options under the sidebar tab. have not seen the training videos on how to set it up yet but mark says they are coming.
personally i use the http://www.mydomain.com/page-keyword-phrase/
i usually set the permalinks to %pagetitle% and then edit it to just leave the keywords. mark show how to do this in training the videos.
