How to change country search settings in Google?
Hi,
can anyone tell me how to change country search settings at will for Google searching - have tried all options and searched help also, but no solution found yet...- I think there is an add-on I can use with Firefox, is this right?

Are you talking about the Google keyword search or just general search?
If I want to see U.S google search.. I use this.. as I am in Australia.

The option is in preference for Google search if you are logged in with a gmail account.
If you are doing this for checking your ranking, then your ip matters more than the google search country. Its better to use something like:
"http://megaproxy.com", they are free and in general I have found good results with them.

Theres a FF add-on called quick locale switcher which you might find helpful - its mostly related to language settings etc but I think it also allows you to change which Google site you use.

Not sure if this helps, but I just type in www.google.com/ncr if I want to search in the US. Or www.google.co.uk/ncr in the UK etc. Google likes to redirect you to the country you are currently in. By typing /ncr at the end, you will search google in the country you want regardless of where you are. Ncr = no country redirect.
I was having this problem!
Cheers,
Andy

@Akordyban
Thank you for this advice using http://www.google.com/ncr I often tried to search via Google.com, but it is a problem when I'm logged into Google Analytics or AdSense.

If you are logged into Google, you could click the "Language Tools" to search in the country that you want.
Click the "Go to Google US" link at the bottom of the Google page and click the wheel icon on the top right of the page and choose language tools. Then choose the Local Domain where you want to do your search.
All the best!
