I've Changed Parent Pages To Child Pages - 301 Redirects?

Hi Everyone,

I've recently reorganized content on my website and changed some of my original pages into child pages under one parent page. Because the url has now changed to include the parent page in the slug should I do 301 redirects for all the changed original pages?

For example, I had a page for Green Widgets, Red Widgets, etc and now I've made a page called Widgets and made Red Widgets and Green Widgets child pages of the page Widgets which makes the URL change.
The original URL was mydomain.com/green-widgets and now it is mydomain.com/widgets/green-widgets

Should I do 301 redirects?

Thanks,
Catherine

Hi Catherine,

Yes, you would need to do 301 redirects for your pages.

Have a great weekend! :)
