Hello,

I have found a 6 year old parked domain that would be perfect to build my chosen niche around. It appears to have always been parked according to the archives.....never a real site. Would the age of this domain help my SEO efforts after building my site? Or would there be any difference compared to getting a new domain?

Hi Mike,

The age of the domain will certainly help in getting pagerank. If the price of that parked domain is not prohibitive, go ahead and buy it.

I generally wouldn't because I'm pretty sure the domain name is going to be ridiculously expensive if it's 6 years old, but hey... it doesn't hurt to get a quote.
