20 backlinks per page or Site a week?

Hi everyone. First time poster here. Here is my question. I have hired someone from odesk to backlink to my site, which is going great. My site has about 30 pages on it that he is building many backlinks to. Is the rule of thumb 20 per site or 20 per page / per week? Right now, we are sending about 20 backlinks to each page, each week. Any thoughts or comments on this would be much appreciated. Thank you!

Hi Kevin,

You want your individual pages ranking for their target keywords so it should be 20 backlinks per page. I suggest you increase that number and make sure to use different backlinking methods so that you get varied backlinks to each of your pages.

Hope that helps. Have a good day!

I must say on this , it doesn't bothered how many pages in your website but 1 thing i want to tell you that if you make 10 back-links from the same domain that would really works otherwise it would be considered as spam,I am asking for one domain if you are getting 10 back-links from a site is enough but if the site has good page rank then you can increase the number as well.

Can you point that out a little bit more? I didn't really got what you wanted to say.

Do you mean deeplinking or building links to your mainpage?

Hi andrewji,

I meant deeplinking. It's your individual pages that you want to rank for their target keywords and not the main site so you need to build backlinks to each page, not the main site.

Hope that helps. Have a goodday!

Hi Kevin,

It does not really matter how many backlinks you build per page everyday. As long as you are only doing manual backlinking you do not have to worry about "over optimizing" your pages.

Actually 20 is quite few but then again I do not recommend you doing certain number of backlinks per day/week. The reason behind this is some backlinks you build per page are not guaranteed to be approved or become live by the end of the day or week. So for 20 backlinks, you may just get 15 live links or even lower.

The best way to do natural backlinking is to mix the kinds of baclinks you build everyday/every week and perhaps, try to schedule the pages you promote per day/week.

I hope that helps!

Thanks Cecille for your comments. Can you just clarify a few things please?

Should I not be working on backlinks to the main site at all? Just the articles?
And how many backlinks a week would you suggest I send to each page? Thanks again

Any page you create should not have more than 3 targeted keywords. Since day 1, your site has had a specific link velocity (amount of incoming links per *). So there is no general safe number. Start slow, be safe, it's better to build a solid link profile, than to be over aggressive and get hurt.

I think what Cecille meant is besides the homepage, you also need to build backlinks to your other pages (this is what you call deep linking). And for the number of backlinks, like I said, it does not matter how many you create per page as long as you vary your link building efforts (bookmarking, social media marketing, content marketing, etc). Remember, more backlinks, more chances of your pages ranking on SERPs.

when I start a new site I will normally concentrate on back linking the home page, I want to get something ranking high in google so people can find the site from there they can search the rest of the site to find other things. Once I am at least up to page 5 or so I will start trying to get backlinks for the other pages as well as the home page, I will also try and get only a few from the same url each day and really try and get links from as many places within my niche as I can. Having 1000 links may be great but don't hold as much weight if they are all coming from the same 10 url's. I also don't worry to much about what PR the link is coming from because the page the link is coming from could be a PR 0 today and in a few months it could be a PR 3.

Hello all.

If your having trouble finding places to build your links from try doing what I call "list" searches. I simply type in a search like "list of (your niche here) websites" or "list of (your niche here) blogs". If you do not get any good results, try to vary your search phrase. Instead of websites or blogs try sites, articles or forums.

You may have to do several searches but when you hit on the right one you can find some great link building opportunities.

Also try some searches like (your niche here) “Add Articles” , ”Add Content”, "Submit Article” , ”Submit Post”
“Add Guest Post” , ”Bloggers Wanted”, “Guest Bloggers Wanted” , “Guest Post”.

Most importantly!!!
Never Give Up!!!

My story! I started building my site on 3rd of Feb 2013, it took me 1 month just to enter in content on to my website and I feel it is too much to understand and learn in 1 months time :(

Most of my "IN WEBSITE" search engine optimization is lots to handle by myself! Luckily I got affilotheme and it is a boon when it comes to my SEO.

I still don't understand where to enter meta tags, robot tags etc

I WONDER is it humanly possible to build a website in a short 1 month and to start earning money?

Just recently, I found a source of cheap link building in overseas :) Have not started yet, but preparing articles for it. :)

I have chosen around 100 keywords to start with, each keyword has greater than 500 searches per month and less than 1500 searches per month (not global only US).

I used i-writer as recommended by Mark to write some of my articles like 8 of them.

Those articles comes with spin tags!

How many times can I spin those i-writer articles and submit them?

Can all spun articles by i-writer be accepted by Ezine articles?

How many back-links for one keyword per day?

Can I build like 50 back links or more for a keyword per day? and for 30 keywords and for one website? I mean all per day!

How many pages for one keyword?

As you mentioned I can make as many back links as I want?

What role does consistency play on this?

Hi Kevin!

For meta tags, you can install a plugin called 'all-in-one-seo' or 'seo yoast'. This will help you put meta tags easily to each of your page.

As for your other concerns:

How many times can I spin those i-writer articles and submit them?

To avoid duplicate content with spun articles, at least spin then as high as 50% uniqueness. If you are familiar with article spinners, most of them have word spin and sentence spin. It is best to do sentence spin THEN word spin so you'll have very unique spun content.

Can all spun articles by i-writer be accepted by Ezine articles?

I do not recommend you submitting spun content to ezine. It is best to either submit the original content or completely re-write the article.

How many back-links for one keyword per day?

Can I build like 50 back links or more for a keyword per day? and for 30 keywords and for one website? I mean all per day!

Yes you may if you have a lot of time to work on your linkbuilding. However, I suggest, each day you miz your linkbuilding efforts. Like for example, do not just do article submission for one day. At least do 3 article submission then bookmarking and blog commenting. At least mix your links so it'll look natural.

How many pages for one keyword?

I am not sure what you meant here. Could you please elaborate?

As you mentioned I can make as many back links as I want? What role does consistency play on this?

Yes as long as you have the time and as long as you mix your backlinks BUT do not use automated software (at least not everyday) as this will get your site banned. :)

I am not sure what you meant here. Could you please elaborate?

I meant, to rank for one particular keyword, do I make one page for that keyword or 2 more additional pages in case the first page misses to rank for that particular keyword?

Also, you mean automated software's like Article marketing automation or rapidfreetraffic could get my website banned as well if I use them?

I am also planning to use some directory "automated submission" where this service submits my domain to 100 different directories like yellowpages.com , is that bad :( ?

My links will be built by offshore (Indian) link builders. I don't know if Google thinks that is bad!

Well I suggest only use your main keywords in the homepage, then have different set of keywords per page. Usually the keywords you assign per page sum up the page topic or what the page is all about :)

Also you mean automated software's like Article marketing automation or rapidfreetraffic could get my website banned if I use them?

Well, you can use them but not to the extent of using ONLY these tools for your backlinking efforts. So if you are going to use these tools, use them by producing just a fair amount of backlinks each day. Do not create like 1000 backlinks per day using these tools or your site will be banned.

I am also planning to use some directory "automated submission" where this service submits my domain to 100 different directories like yellowpages.com , is that bad :( ?

Again, as long as you control the amount of backlinks per day using these tools, then there will be no problem.

My links will be built by offshore (Indian) link builders. I don't know if Google thinks that is bad!

This will depend if they will just use white hat SEO for linkbuilding. If you are going to hire, make sure that you are on the same page. As much as possible let them know what kind of links you want and expect.

Thanks for that tip "white hat SEO", so all link building are not the same I guess. Maybe that is why they are cheaper and the Indian SEO got it hit pretty bad.

That service don't give me further details, so most probably it is like what you said. With white hat I can build relationship, but with the other ways I am pretty much using the back door, so I might be kicked out any moment.

Also what is RSS feeds?
You talked about direct visits last time, is there a free guide/help to track direct visits on affilotheme or using Google analytic etc?

I would love to keep track of direct visits :)

Well it is very important that you ask them the details and perhaps if they can provide you with concrete SEO/marketing campaign.

Personally, I would just hire a good SEO freelancer and then coordinate with him/her directly of what I would like to do/happen. This way, you are also able to know the kind of backlinks you will get in return and at the same time track all your SEO efforts.

Also what is RSS feeds? You talked about direct visits last time, is there a free guide/help to track direct visits on affilotheme or using Google analytic etc?

RSS feeds work pretty much like bookmarking only that you will have access to the entire feed in one page and you will also get new set of feeds once the page/website adds content.

You can see direct visits by looking at your Google analytics report. You may want to check and review your Google analytics more at this page here-> http://support.google.com/analytics/bin ... er=1247837

I hope that helps!
