My website is on page one but doesn't have the traffic

11th January, 2011 - Posted by Ross Cormack

I have seen a similar thing with a site of mine but I do not understand any of the replies to this question. "Put the keyword into brackets" ??? And nobody would ever think what Johnalex is suggesting, that the number of searches for "bodybuilding" plus the number of searches for "fitness" would equal the number of...

How Long for Google Search Text Preview to Update

10th January, 2011 - Posted by Ross Cormack

Hi! Does anyone know how long it takes for the text preview in the search results on Google to be updated? I've got myself the top spot for a highly searched term but am not getting as much traffic as I would expect so I want to experiment with the text preview. However, it seems to take weeks or more to update this.

AMAutomation and Article Submissions

I have to agree. I used it over a number of months in 2009 and it supposedly submitted hundreds of articles to blogs but none of them are ever found by Traffic Travis and have not contributed to ranking my sites. I can never understand why Mark recommends it so highly.

PPC - How long will I wait to get 300 clicks?

13th October, 2009 - Posted by Ross Cormack

Thanks. As it happens, the campaign was slapped and all scores went to 1/10. I opened a new google account and re-wrote all the pages with tons more content. Started the campaign from scratch and it was immediately slapped again. Since then, I thought there might be more info from Mark about the slap but he doesn't seem to have been affected....

Google Slap and the Quality Score

20th September, 2009 - Posted by Ross Cormack

I would assume the replies posted here by Sean and Fara are of no use to you whatsoever. You've got a content rich site with relevant text about the keywords, which is tied to a large multi-page site on more relevant content. Despite this, Google hates your site. The same thing happened to me. I was just getting my campaign going well and every...

The Google Slap on Affiliate Marketing

4th August, 2009 - Posted by Ross Cormack

The same thing has happened to me. QS from 10 to 1 overnight. Even though some of my ads sent people to my main site, which is about 25 pages of quality content, they were ALL slapped. It happened right after I changed the links to re-directs, but I can't see that being the reason. I find it hard to see this as a "positive...

What should an AdWords campaign CTR be? Should I stop mine?

23rd July, 2009 - Posted by Ross Cormack

Sean, do you mean spend half the commission on the whole campaign? That doesn't seem like much and would never stretch to 300 clicks. If you had a lot of keywords, only a few clicks of some of them? Would it be reasonable to spend that much on one popular keyword to see if it makes a sale? Also, in ppc, are you not banking on the cost per click...

Alternatives to AdWords & 6 Quick Tips for Bettering Your PPC ClickThru Rates and Conversions

9th July, 2009

"Always start with a reasonably low cost per click. 12-15c per click works well." This contradicts the advice given in the Affiloblueprint course. It advises starting at $1.60 and reducing it down to keep the ads on the first page from the start
