All My Wordpress Sites Hacked! Help!

8th August, 2014 - Posted by Bob Ebling

Anyone using WordPress is encouraged to read this information on the WordPress Codex http://codex.wordpress.org/Hardening_WordPress And like others have said, keep all of your software up-to-date and change your passwords routinely. Yes this is a pain, but it's worth the effort. And establish a backup routine - good tips for that can be found...

Google Mass Banned Adwords Accounts

5th January, 2012 - Posted by Bob Ebling

Be careful with Google. Once you signup for AdWords, Google will take a much closer look at your pages. It's obvious that at some point a real person will review your account and if it doesn't meet Google's requirements - or the reviewer's interpretation of Google's requirments, it will likely get banned. I had a site that was generating...

Mailing List method when the lesson contains graphics

10th August, 2009 - Posted by Bob Ebling

Thanks for the feedback Fara. I'll take your advice and host the lessons on my website. These pages should be tagged nofollow and noindex since I don't want them showing up in search or getting indexed - right?? Thanks again for your help. P.S. I read your bio, I cut my teeth on COBOL too and IBM's PL1, if you can believe it. But I caught...

Mailing List method when the lesson contains graphics

9th August, 2009 - Posted by Bob Ebling

Mark teaches us to send our list TEXT messages, not HTML. I have a mini-course that I want to send to people that sign-up that contains graphics, so the text idea won't work. I can either send an HTML message, or send a text message and attach the lesson as a PDF file, or I could send a text message and link to the lesson on a hidden page on...

In theory at least, Google will then have listed you as the original author and the people that rip you off will not cause duplicate content issues for you, the original author. Use the...

Thanks Chrisi - nice video. I think you might be looking for TubeMogul.com, it not only allows you to upload to tons of video websites, it also provides analytics so you know what's going on. Until you become a big time producer - it's free. Bob sboguide.com

Cloaking Long Links Using TinyURL

29th April, 2009 - Posted by Bob Ebling

Thanks to all that replied to my question. I see that ClickBank is now generating an encrypted HopLink, so at least for ClickBank, does that mean that this is no longer something we need to be concerned about? This Forum is excellent - one of the best. Thanks again, Bob

Shut up and listen! - The other side of Social Media

23rd July, 2009

I used to read in bed, and occasionally watch TV there as well; but I read an interesting report, and have since removed both from the bedroom. And as the report claimed, I honestly sleep much better without the clutter. And clutter is exactly what social media can become if you let it...
