Clayton on the web

FYI, if you send me a PM, I might not find it for awhile. Sometimes I don't realize I have a new PM for quite some time.

The best way to get a hold of me is through my blog: http://www.journeyofmyown.com/welcome-affilorama-friends/

I love meeting other affiliate marketers, stop by my blog and say hi :)

Neewbie needs advice

I believe an updated version of AJP will be released soon. As far as which course is best for you, it depends on how much control you want. If you want to learn how to do everything (site building, traffic, newsletters, offers, niche research, etc.) AffiloBlueprint is probably best for you. If you'd rather just have some of that done for you...

When to Add Affiliate Links to Website

3rd September, 2014 - Posted by Clayton A Terao

Personally, I would be more interested in list building than putting affiliate links on your site. I'd rather just have opt-in forms and then promote offers through a newsletter. That way you can build a list and promote multiple times rather than just hoping for someone to buy after one click. Hope this helps.

Lack of good Golf content

22nd May, 2014 - Posted by Clayton A Terao

Also golf is an interesting niche in that it involves physical products (golf clubs). If I were an affiliate in that niche, I would strongly consider adding product reviews for items like "Top 10 golf clubs for 2014" or any other relevant products. Remember... yes, golfers probably want to know how to improve their game (info...

How Much Have You Made Using Affilojetpack?

13th May, 2014 - Posted by Clayton A Terao

Most of my expenses are from advertising, and outsourcing. Also in there are regular fees like newsletter services, website hosting, and other subscriptions. Obviously, you don't have to start with expenses as high as $2,000 - $3,000. Start with $100 a month in advertising and scale up as you can. Start small and then when you know you have a...

How Much Have You Made Using Affilojetpack?

13th May, 2014 - Posted by Clayton A Terao

For what it's worth, I have AffiloJetpack, but I decided to write my own auto responder messages rather than use the ones that came with AJP. However, just using the AJP strategy of getting traffic, getting people to join your email list, and promoting through a regular auto responder sequence has made good money for me. I have a list of...

How Do I Find A Suitable Niche?

26th March, 2014 - Posted by Clayton A Terao

Test prep is definitely a profitable niche. I don't know any affiliate programs off the top of my head, but I know that there are people paying money for study guides, tutors, and cram schools for those tests.

Do Articles And Products Have To Be Related?

18th March, 2014 - Posted by Clayton A Terao

The closer they are related, the better your conversion rate will be (and the more money you will likely make). ...But no, there is no "law" that they have to be related.

SEO, Traffic and Panda - How to succeed in 2012

10th February, 2012

Hi Mark. Thanks for the webinar. I'm about to sit down and go through it. It seems like a lot of us have been reeling since the Panda updates started last year. It's good to see that some people are starting to step forward and offer sound, concrete advice on how to adapt to the changes. Hope...

How much time should you be spending learning per week?

1st June, 2011

Hi Mark! Listening to audio on your commute is amazing. That's how I first started learning things. It's a great way to put "under utilized" time to work. I recently read the book "Ready Fire Aim" by Michale Masterson and I thought it was one of the better books out...

Google Plus One - How will it impact SEO?

25th May, 2011

Thanks Adam, I've always really valued your opinion, right up there with Mark's. I guess my only concern is how +1 could be abused. Couldn't people just go to Mechanical Turk or Fiverr or one of those sites and pay someone to "+1" their website to manipulate search rankings and out...

Why I Read Women's Fitness Magazines

11th March, 2011

Yeah, I think you'd probably learn the most from magazines in big niches like fitness, weight loss, or money. The marketing team there is probably a lot sharper due to the competitiveness of the niche. Smaller niches, I think can get away with being a little "sloppier."
