Promoting products without a website

I just wonder if anybody in here frequently promotes products (Ex: Clickbank or MaxBounty) using PPC method without a website on google or bing. Do you think it is better than having a website and try to write a long article?

High Gravity or Low Gravity ClickBank Products?

If the gravity is above 70, it is more difficult to sell the products because the keywords are relatively expensive on either google or bing. On the other hand, higher gravity shows a lot of interest. I would say 5-70 gravity is a good range to start.
