If I am understanding you right they are asking for an authority code.
The registrar who you have registered with should provide you with a code that you then give to your OTHER new registrar.
This tells both sides that you have authorized the transfer.
The support team at your current registrar should be able to help you if you get stuck.
Also, read the FAQ or knowledge base at your current registrar and see if they have one to see if this question has already been answered and that is highly likely because it is a very common question.
