Website templates uploaded

Hi everyone,

Just for anyone who didn't catch it, we've uploaded some website template things to the member's section for you to download and manipulate however you see fit.

Resource No Longer Available

Basically there are 2 x 2-page sites, one about pies and one about gnomes. You'll obviously need to add your own graphics, unless you're making a site on these topics ;)

We're not really keen on producing sites with generic graphics that you can just stick your own name into -- there are plenty of services around to do that for you. It's more about the layout with these ones -- they're specially designed for article/review affiliate sites.

If anyone has any comments/suggestions or things you'd like to see, let me know here. I'll run it by Mark and if it's all groovy we'll make some more good stuff for you guys.

In the meantime, watch out for those gnomes!

Thanks for the templates Aletta.

Just one thing: Do you know where I can add my own graphics to the templates?

May be on Elance. or another place?

Thanks.

For the headers, I'd take it to Elance. That's probably your best bet for getting something that fits and suits your own site. Make sure you look at the designers' portfolios to get an idea of their style. Ask them to provide the PSDs too, so you can modify the graphics later if you need to.

Another option is if you've got a design college in your neighbourhood, take the job in to them and see if any of the students want to take a crack at it. Often students are just looking for something to put on their portfolio, so they might not want very much money. They'll probably want more than an Elancer though, but you might be able to get them to help on other stuff too. Just an idea.

For other graphics, visit http://www.sxc.hu for free photos (watch out... they do have a paid section too) or http://www.istockphoto.com for really cheap photos and things.

Good luck!
