Hi beulahland611,

You can start by learning the basics of web design. We have a Getting Started page for Affiliate Marketing that contains links to lessons and tools that can help you get started. We also recommend building sites through Wordpress. This is a blogging platform where you can upload photos and content for your site.

Hope that helps. Have a good day!

Hi,

You can experiment with free Wordpress site. Wordpress is very easy to manage and learn and on top of this, there are a lot of online tutorials for Wordpress.

I hope that helps.

For the super non-tech-savvy, you might even try setting up a basic blog on http://www.tumblr.com/ . You could post articles or reviews of affiliate products in a blog form.

It doesn't give you as much flexibility as a WordPress site, but if (as you say) copy and paste can sometimes be weak... Tumblr could be a better way to build your confidence. It's kind of like learning to drive an automatic before learning stick :)

Also just a P.S to the ladies above... there's a difference between the Wordpress that you install on your own site, and wordpress.com which is a blogging site kind of like Tumblr, but much less friendly to affiliates.

Mary and Cecille are talking about the first version... installing Wordpress on your own site.

If you purchase an Affilorama product like AffiloJetpack or AffiloBlueprint, we can help you set up a wordpress installation on your own site (it takes about two clicks), but if you're not quite ready to take that step... take a look at Tumblr.

Hi Kathy,

Thanks for your feedback! I appreciate it! :)

Both Affilorama staff and members would be happy to help you so do not hesitate to post any inquiries you have. You can also go over the previous posts here in the forums. All sorts of questions on affiliate marketing, SEO and site building have been raised here, so going over the threads help. There's also the nifty search bar on the top right to help you look for answers too.

As Aletta mentioned there are two kinds of Wordpress: the Wordpress.org which is the self-hosted form, and the free blogging tool Wordpress.com. I got started in Blogger, then switched on to Wordpress.com before building my own self-hosted site. It's easy to get started on Wordpress.com, but you can't do affiliate marketing there. You need to have your own site for that.

You can try Tumblr as Aletta suggested. It's very easy to use, and you get to connect with people there too.

All the best!

Hi,

That's the spirit. You do not need to get everything set-up at once. I suggest you make a plan first and if possible have your own to-do list so you know which direction you're going.

I apologize but what finished product are you referring to?

Good luck!
