Why do IM Gurus teach?

Just a quick question... a bit curious here and want some others' feedback. Why do IM gurus like Mark, Matt Carter, Anik Singal, all of them... you know who I'm talking about... Why do they teach the public (us) their methods, strategies and secrets?

Reasons:

1) To make more money (the obvious one) - through the direct sales of courses, and also introducing more affiliates into the market (increasing more conversions for them if they're vendors of products in niches).
2)... I can't think of anymore, obviously they may like to teach but other than money, what else is the reason??

some of them just do it for the money, some do it because they love to teach. some simply want to help others achieve what they have achieved.

Everyone has to find their own motivation, no matter what niche they are in. Honestly, I think if you were able to ask them each individually, they would all give you a slightly different answer.

I think it's just human nature.

if you were good at making money online, or dancing the electric slide, you would love to teach others what you know.

It's a shame that in the IM arena there are 30 scammers for every good mentor.

To be honest, Unless you really, Really love what you do and teaching it to others then I think that everyone starts out (at first) to make money..Period.
Having said this, Internet marketers need to provide real value with their information and products.
Then they realize that more money can be made by teaching others how to do what they do.
After that, I suppose it is about what legacy you want to leave here on Earth before you leave.
On peoples death beds I am sure they are not thinking..
"I wish I had made more money".
Instead, I think people think to themselves..
"I wish I had of spent more time with my family and helped more people achieve what I have achieved"

Just my 2 cents.
Regards,
Troy

I agree with Troy!

It's always about the money at first... Even when you go to college, we tend to think hmm what will bring in the dough. Instead of how can this bring more satisfaction to myself, family and community.

I guess the statement is even more true when it comes to IM because it can be very lucrative; opposed to teaching kindegarten - college.

Unfortunately, this is also where people whom are unethical can exploit those who are not keen on due diligence.
