Whats the internet like in your country?

Been talking to a few people lately and it's only confirmed what I already knew. Internet providers in Australia are crap.

I get 20gb a month and with a sister to share it with, it's pretty easy to go through. But speaking to people from Nth America and other places made me wonder, is Australia the only country with really bad internet providers?

I'll probably register myself as a business soon, which means I'll be able to get business plans, but these can cost around $300 a month, which isn't really cool...

So whats the internet like where you're from?

I'm connected with TalkTalk here in UK, a lot of people are upset with them for various reasons, but for me Free unlimited broadband at 2.2mbps is hard to argue with.

Well I have to pay £10 a month for the obligatory phone line, if that makes you feel any better.

US- About 50 bucks a month. I also use T-Mobile hotspots at the airports and Starbucks. T-Mobile is spotty, and will spoil an upload, but is good for general email and forum stuff. When I am in Australia, I plug into the hotels system which is good, but pricey... about 30AUS a day. T-Mobile in Sydney is very blotchy. I have noticed some big improvements, but sometimes find that email sent to my friends in Sydney bounce. Jay

haha, right now I'd be happy to swap.

My sister pushed us over the edge last night after browsing youtube for a while, so I'm still on dialup until the end of the month.

Hows things been anyway Terry?

2 mbps speed - 2.5 GB upload-download limit / month = USD $13/month

The speed though stays around 500 - 900 kbps. Can download Mark's video interviews @ 100 mb/30 minutes
