What niche and products to promote?

Hey all!

I'm a brand new, know nothing, wanting to learn affiliate marketing person! I began going through the free Affilorama Services and its become overwhelming and seems all over the place as I go through the lists.

I have ideas to the niche I want, but when going through the lessons and applying it, its become an overload of information. The niche I have chosen is also not part of Clickbank which the lessons seem highly focused on. My niche is on Shareasale as the affiliates I want to use go through them, but that requires some experience first. I was just hoping someone could give me some advice to boost me forward here. I prefer to read and do but its been a lot of reading (and watching videos) and little doing!

Thanks in advance!

Hello,

What you need is focus and a step back :) Try to complete first the niche you want to promote before going to the product selection. If you still have no idea which niche to go for, start by listing your interests. Then once you have the list, conduct a research for these topics so you can have an idea how popular these topics are, how large the market is, and how they are promoted online.

Once you have settled on a niche, then it is time to research for related products. It does not matter which affiliate network you've chosen as long as your products match the niche you've selected.

Here are several links to help you find a niche, do research, and choose related products to promote:

I actually took a step back, took a break, and decided to slow down. I was trying to learn to much to fast and easily overwhelmed myself.

Thanks for the links. I think I'm going to start the free program over and go at it again albeit slower! I'm focused on just doing this program though. I know the shiny object syndrome is common and I've already committed to doing the free programs.

I'm hoping this time it clicks in my head and I begin to retain more.

Thanks again for the response as it was helpful!

EDIT: I also noticed that mentioned in the article was entertainment niche. Such a good one as I love watching TV shows!
