To me, it's being able to brand something (a service or a product) as your own. The company offering the white label program should offer unbranded to you so you can then sell it to your customers.

I usually want the parent company to have minimal involvement with the service, just supporting me as their white label partner. I want as much control as possible for my clients.

I love white label programs because I don't have to put forth the work to build the product/service myself, I can just sell it and make some money.

A white label is a copy of the merchant's site which with their branding removed. You can customize the site and all the information about the product, ordering and everything involved with managing the site are handled by the merchant. White label sites are near enough identical so you need to optimize your site.

White Label means a product or service made by a company and provided to marketers that re-brand it as their own. This doesn't involve just online companies, this type of marketing is present in other industries like banking/finance and consumer products.

Hope that helps. Have a good day!

Hi Kate,

Co-branding, on the other hand, is using different brand names on a single product or service. I'm not familiar with how it is used towards websites or online business. I often see examples of co-branding on food or mobile phones, for example HTC mobile phones come bundled together with Beats Audio.

Hope that helps. Have a good day!
