Speaking from experience, newbies can start with affiliate marketing and there are a lot of our members who know nothing and still managed to earn their way in affiliate marketing.
Yes, with your experience you have the advantage but this does not mean that it is a lot easier for you to achieve your goals in affiliate marketing. Still, affiliate marketing is a different forte that you will need to study and master.
The Affiloblueprint course is a good starting course for newbies. I highly recommend that you finish this course. As for the income, it's difficult to give an exact dollar value, and due to FTC regulations, I cannot guarantee you'll make money. It usually takes 4 to 8 weeks to make that first sale, and around 6 months to get to USD$1000 a week. Some people start earning from their sites fairly quickly, while others take longer.
That said, individual results will vary greatly and in accordance with your input, determination, hard work, and ability to follow directions.
You do have to focus and learn before you can expect to make it big online. But then that is true of any business - online or offline. Remember that being online does not necessarily make it easier to succeed. The same business principles and variables apply. It's only the medium that is different.
