Starting out with Squidoo??

I am totally new to the idea of affiliate marketing let alone actually getting involved and its all a massive learning curve .Would you recommend that I start out doing some work on Squidoo to make a way forward to start with. I am doing plenty of research but the information over-load is starting to tell on me a bit. Where to begin?

I have several Squidoo "Lenses" and the more popular ones are good at bringing traffic to my websites. This helps with Google search engine ranking (Google like Squidoo) and gets more traffic to the selling pages on my monetized websites.

Don't think many people make much money directly off Squidoo. But Squidoo may be a good place to practice page layout and copywriting - before tackling a WordPress blog or a static website. Might help you to judge the interest in your product/service as well.

Cheers!

I agree with _jim coe. You don't really make money off Squidoo lenses, but you can bring in traffic from your Squidoo lenses to your own affiliate site. But before you actually get on with Squidoo, consider the niche you'll be going in to first. What would be your Squidoo lens about? Make sure to go over their Squidon't page as there certain topics they don't approve. I also recommend going over what products you will be promoting in the future on your own website.

Hope that helps. Have a good day!

Great tips from Cecille and Jim Coe. I must also add that when it comes to posting content in Squidoo, you only use original content. Squidoo is strict with content being published on their site. This means you stay away from PLRs. As much as possible, try to create origina and qualityl content so you won't have any problems with Squidoo rejecting your articles or even closing your account.

This is true, and this is why it's great to start out with Squidoo. Bear in mind that it's not going to be easy. It might be even more tough than putting up your own site what with all that original content you have to churn out. But it's a good training ground.

Have a good day!
