Animated GIFs are a string of frames appearing one after the other on your image. Each is a separate image and is just flashed according to your settings.
The first step is to create a number of different “frames” for your animated gif using a program like Paint.NET. Make sure that each “frame” of your animation is the same size as all the others. The recommended size is around 200 pixels x 200 pixels.
Once you’ve got your three frames, you need to stitch them together using a free software called “Unfreez”.http://www.whitsoftdev.com/files/unfreez.zip
Download the program and unzip it. You dont have to install it to your computer. Just run it from the folder once it’s been unzipped.
Find your “frame” images and just drag and drop them into the big white box in this software. Set the “Frame Delay” to around 400. Make the interval long enough for people to read each frame.
Click the “Make Animated GIF” button and you’ll be able to save your finished image onto your computer.
Double-click on the image you’ve just created and it would open in your web browser. You'll be able to view the image as it will look on the web.
Insert your animated GIFs in the same way that you would insert a regular image into your site.
Hope this helps :)
