Link privacy policy to one website?

Instead of creating a privacy policy for each individual affiliate site. What if I linked them to one main website? Would there be any harm in doing that? Just wondering if anyone here does that.

I'm thinking of using a HTML Frame document to link to the privacy policy that is on another website. So it will look like the privacy policy is on that affiliate site. Does that make sense?

I'm just wondering if that would cause any problems with SEO. And if anyone has ever done that.

Never mind. I did some research and some resources suggest that using iframes is bad for SEO.

However, I found out the alternative is to use the PHP include function. This way it doesn't hurt SEO. It actually works out better anyways.

Yup, although since you'll typically want to include the website name in the privacy policy, and since they're otherwise pretty much copy/paste jobbies and don't get modified often, I'm not sure what you're actually accomplishing!

Thanks Aletta. You make a good point.

I'm using a legal form generator. I just hated generating a form for each website. I asked them if it's necessary to create a form for each individual website. Still haven't heard a response from them.

But I think it does make sense that you would want to include the website name in the privacy policy.
