Just wanted to share something humorous

I got this e-mail today from a site I have been submitting articles to for a week or so. I decided to let them remain nameless. I'm a mix of annoyed and amused.

Their e-mail to me.

Hi,

We are sorry to inform that your article titled "Are You Coping With Toddler Hitting?" posted on 2011-06-04
has been declined for the following reason:

- - - read the submission guidelines - - -

Also you're account has been suspended! Please review our publisher guidelines and make any necessary changes and resubmit to restore your account to an active status.

Thank you

My response.

Wow, really? That's a bit harsh. You don't even bother to tell me what was wrong with the article and then you suspend my account? With an exclamation point?

Good luck to you,
An Unhappy Customer
Who will be moving on to other directories because I don't have time to put up with such a blatant disregard for customer appreciation. And yes, I was a customer who was paying you with content that you can monetize.

P.S. Your e-mail has been declined for the following reason:

- - - "you're account" is not proper English - - -

Ok, so in their defense, they rapidly replied with this.

Hi,

there was nothing wrong with your article. Article approvals are outsourced to a guy in Pakistan who does a crappy job but doesn't cost much.
I'm really sorry about this,
kind regards

The article got approved.

Still amused, less annoyed, and shaking my head at the rationale.

Ha ha! Todd, that is pretty funny. I'll admit you're / your and then / than are sort of pet peeves of mine.

Yeah, I've had plenty of articles declined for "unknown" reasons. Just move on and find another directory. There certainly aren't a shortage of them :)

It's sad that they chose the cheapest (and apparently lowest quality) editor for their directory.

Good thing you asked what is the problem with your article.. And they know their mistake.. Sometimes we have to question them, because not all are perfect.. Congrats Todd.

That is annoying. I can't believe they so far as told you:

there was nothing wrong with your article. Article approvals are outsourced to a guy in Pakistan who does a crappy job but doesn't cost much.
I'm really sorry about this,

Seriously?
I am sure you have moved on to better directories by now. I would not promote or support any company that speaks to me in such manner.
