I got a $60,000 per year SEO job & quit

I recently got a job doing SEO and because of some circumstances that were out of my control I quit. Now I'm building my business full time and things couldn't be better.

I'm only giving myself a few months to get everything going up to a decent level but I'm convinced Affilorama and SEO are skills that are essential if you want true freedom.

Learn SEO because if nothing else, you could get a "job" doing it. I prefer to go out on my own and go for it.

I have not "made it" yet but I know I will and to everybody who doubts or is not sure, just take some sort of action each day. Don't let a day go by w/o making your website(s) better in some way. :)

Great advice! Do at least one thing to make your sites better every day otherwise you just doom tomorrow to be no better than today. That thought alone keeps me motivated to work sometimes.

I agree completely. Even if one day you have commitments to your kids, your wife, your job or whatever, you make one small change that can be enough to keep the momentum going. Sometimes it's more about momentum and creating new habits that is MORE important than the actual amount or quality of work.

Some days if all I can do is update the Title tag on one page of my website that's okay. All that counts is that each day your site(s) is better optimized than the last you'll eventually make it. It has to work that way.

I agree with you, but I do have to admit that sometimes my "yesterday" is better than my "present", but of course -hopefully- the "tomorrow" will be a lot better

@Stefan, yeah, sometimes sales will fluctuate up and down, but as long as your overall vitals keep improving (backlinks, rankings, traffic, hop clicks, etc.) you're on the right track!

I know sometimes things get rough, but focus on where you are and where you want to be. keep moving forward. Only look at the past as data. look at what worked and didnt work, to plan for the future. but dont dwell on what you once did or once had. doing that will just leave you feeling sorry for yourself, and does more harm than good. I know, I used to be there myself.

I agree with Clayton and jmpruitt. If you had a number 1 or 2 ranking that is now number 9 or 10 just always focus on continuing to improve no matter what and the google gods will reward you in time. All you have to do is just be a little more focused, relentless and work just a little bit harder than the next guy and you'll get there. :)
