How To Replace Your Job Online

Good day everybody. I am a subscriber to a handfull of mailing lists. Some of the emails I do not open half of the time. Two of them that I open everytime are from Mark Ling and Terry Dean. Terry was actually the first newsletter that I ever signed up for. I have not purchased anything from Terry yet because I am keeping my focus here for now. (I am not an affiliate of Terry's either)
Anyway in the newsletter I got today was this article that I think many of you will enjoy. I got a lot out of it anyway.

I believe that Terry started online around 1996. I think that this is one of his sites that he switched over to a blog format but I don't know for sure.

That was a great post because it was from someone that is no different than you or me. And there is a lot of truth to what he says with respect to taking action and avoiding the all to easy "information overload".

I think one of the biggest problems that a lot of people face is with trying to find "THE" way the make money online. In reality, there is no "THE" way to do anything. There's 100 ways to skin a cat but people don't realize it so they jump from product to product without every giving any single one its due diligence.

There are tons of ways to make money in this business and the best thing you can do as a Rookie is to be completely honest with yourself and understand that it is going to take hard work and time. You can't expect that any product will work if you aren't willing to hold up to your end of the deal.

And while everyone wants to know "EXACTLY" how long it will take, the truth is that there are way too many variable to be able to make any sort of truthful claim. In any given niche it could take weeks, months, or years but you what you can expect is that the more difficult it is, the more rewarding it will be once it all does start working.

One thing that I really like about Mark here is that he's a lot more honest than many of the other guys out there making claims based on their own success and now the success of their students.

So stay on the horse and if you fall off, get on again. This stuff works... It's only a matter of time.

Cheers,

-Tom

Nice article.

I was guilty of subscribing to more than a handful myself. I'm now taking a hard look at them and unsubscribing, but there's some weird part of my brain that keeps saying 'what if they do send me something useful?' Stupid 'lizard brain' (there's a good talk by Seth Godin on this btw - http://vimeo.com/5895898).

Cheers,
