How to have an online store without keeping inventory?

I have seen in some webinars that people build shops selling stuff without keeping any stock in house, that is without having to buy stuff and keeping it until it's sold, also avoiding having to deal with returns etc, basically just being a bridge (sort of like an affiliate) between the client and the wholesaler (or seller). I need to find out how to do this if there is a way to do it. I would appreciate any ideas. Thanks.

 Having an online store or a website promoting physical products but not keeping an inventory or having the items "on hand" is called Dropshipping.

You promote and sell the products on your website, and for every order, you send it over to the merchant. They, in turn, fulfill the order and send it to the customer.

 Or you may simply promote physical products through affiliate marketing. Like for example, you can promote products in Amazon and earn a commission for every sale.
