How do I re-arrange the order of my articles on my website?

Hello everyone,

hope you've seen me around and enjoy my posts. I am currently using WordPress + Host Gator + GoDaddy for my website. I have a few articles on my website, but I cannot figure out how to arrange them into whatever order I wish without deleting them and reposting them in the order they are posted. The newest one is always on top, and I do not want that. I want to put it where ever I feel. Would anyone happen to know how to do this with the AB-THEME[3.0]?

If so please help, I would highly appreciate it.

Sincerely,

Caleb

If all your posts on your home page then you can use the plugin AStickyPostOrderER

Hi Caleb,

You can change the dates on the posts. The latest-dated post will be on top of the sidebar. You can change the dates through Edit or Quick Edit.

Ah, excellent. It sounds like I could have a lot of work ahead of me if I put 30 articles on my website and have to rearrange the order. Would there be a good plugin that allows me to just drag them or click them up to where I want them?

Thanks for the help,

Sincerely,

Caleb

Hey Caleb

What Faradina means is that if you look over to the left sidebar you will see your Wordpress 'dashboard'.

Under the category for posts there are several options like Posts, add new, categories and tags. Click on posts.

All your posts will now come up in a list and if you hover your mouse over each one you will see options like edit, quick edit, delete etc. Click quick edit. You will see the change date option here. The later the date, the higher up it will appear on your posts list.

If you want a certain post to be your 'welcome page' go to settings in your dashboard, Click on Reading, Change 'Front page displays' to static and choose your page.

Whew! Hope this helps.

Hello crhis72,

I did understand what she said. I was just suggesting a feature that would make it easier.

Also that was very helpful.

Actually I did find a good looking plugin. At least it looks good. Looks like I can just type 1,2,3,4,5 and arrange them like that. Will test it out and report back.

-Report: It did not work. Useless..

Yeah I'm having a hard time finding a plugin that can do this. So far I just did as Faradina recommended, but it would be nice if we could get AT 3.0 to be like AT 1.2 in regards to post order.

It will probably be a little harder to code I assume though.
