Homepage is ranking but not subpages

Hi people

I have setup few AB sites but this time something strange happened.

My new site is only 3 weeks old, and my homepage is on first page on Google for 2 of my keywords but my subpages can hardly be found with A+ in SEO and not over 25.000 competing sites "all in title".

All of the sites (included homepage) has almost no backlinks so far.

So my question is, are you experiencing it takes longer time for the subpages to rank or are they sandboxed?

If your subpages are pretty low competition you'd probably rank 1 for keywords by building a few more back links. I suggest using something like Free Traffic System (free), AMA ($47/m) or buy magic article submitter (I wanna say around $47 one time fee).

One article used w/one of these or all of these methods will GREATLY increase your back links and ranking and dosnt take too much time.

I would also suggest using the google tool to make a site map. If you view blog boot camp webinar #3 mark explains how to do this.

I hope that helps : )

Thanks for your answer,
I know already all this things you mentioned. :)

I was just wondering why my Homepage is ranking so much higher for 2 keywords, than my subpages while all of the sites (included the homepage) has almost no backlinks.

Even my homepage is ranking for a keyword only in the menu where my subpage should be ranking for it :p

Is the site new? My pages and sites tend to jump a lot in the first 3 months. One day I'll be 56 the next 2 then the next week 16. Google is nutty sometimes and it will even drop my pages off all searches for a day or two sometimes.

It can take 3-4 months for your site to stabalize in the rankings. Dont worry about it. Just keep building links. Focus on getting traffic not rankings. You can get a lot of traffic if your articles on directories and web2.0 sites are compelling and draw people into visiting your site.
Use bookmarking sites and RSS aggregator sites to promote your article author pages Squidoo lenses, and Hubpages. This will help you start getting traffic through them.

also start hanging out in niche forums. help people, and put a link to your site in your sig file. you can get great, highly targeted traffic without waiting for Google to rank your site.

Remember the point is to get traffic, so look for ways to get traffic without relying on only search traffic.
Search engines are the single biggest traffic source I have. However only about 20% of my total traffic comes through search. If you write your articles well, and give people a reason to click through to your site, you will have more luck.
