Google Analytics question

Can someone tell me how to set Analytics so that it doesn't count my own visits to my site? I would think that would skew the results. I searched around the net for an answer to this, but what I found was too techie for me --- including Google's own explanation --- so I'm hoping for something to help a technically challenged person!

Thanks.

Helen,

The Google Analytics code will be on your site's source code.
I believe that it tracks every visit to the site whether "referred" or 'direct" etc.
I wouldn't worry about that while you're still building your site.
Complete the site 1st. Analyze data later.

Regards,
Renato

in the main page for analytics there is a tab to set filters. you can set a filter to exclude your IP adress. I also have one set to exlude affilorama, since most of my traffic was from there, but wasnt relevant to the site
