Can I earn money by blog commenting alone?

Just a quick disclaimer, i'm relatively new to the world of affiliate marketing. I stumbled across this article and it struck a cord with me. https://allbloggingtips.com/make-money- ... ng-easily/

When I read about this strategy it really appealed to me because it seems like it a pretty practical way to do affiliate marketing. Its logical isnt it? Just post comments with some value along with your affiliate link under a couple dozen new blog posts a day and you should end up with a nice 50-100 dollars a day for about an hours work. It seams feasible to me but in practice i'm skeptical about how effective it would actually work.

I would greatly appreciate any thoughts/opinions/suggestions/pointers on whether or not this looks like an effective strategy and whether I should invest my time on implementing this strategy. Thanks

Straight answer is "Yes, you can earn through blog commenting". You can do affiliate marketing without a website after all.

But the actual work you will do is not as straight-forward. For one thing, there aren't a lot of website's that allow affiliate links on comments. Another is the niche you're going to go into: not all niches have an abundance of forums and blogs you can participate in.

Building and maintaining a website can sound more difficult, and it is, but it'll be for the long term.

Should you ever get tired of keeping a website, you can sell it so you still make money off it until the end.

All the best!

Nice thank you for the help. Making a website and maintaining it isn't too much of a concern for me.

Say I made something like a clickbank product review site or amazon product review site that had information about products relevant to discussions in forums. Do you think posting a link to that site instead of the plain affiliate link would work more effectively? I feel like this is a more genuine approach rather than posting scammy comments. Also a review site like this has potential for seo traffic, backlinks ect.

Do you think this would be a more effective approach?

Yes, sending people to a product review page with your affiliate link is much better. You can also promote pages like these through different methods so you won't be stuck with finding places where you can post comments on.

Thanks again for the reply. You mentioned promoting pages like these through different methods. Can you give some examples of these other methods/ pointers on where I can learn more about these methods?

Hello mcrae,
I think that you misunderstood the meaning of the strategy mentioned on this post https://allbloggingtips.com/make-money- ... ing-easily . The guy said Guest posting not blog commenting, there`s a big difference between them.
Guest posting means that you will be allowed to post articles on another website in your niche ( it should be getting much more traffic).
So as in my experience "Guest posting" is the best way to get targeted visitors to your blog, traffic that convert very well to leads as well as sales, but it really need some advanced tricks and you have to be enough famous in your niche in order to be accepted for writing guest posting on others websites.
Another vital thing is that you`d better to send the traffic to your squeeze page rather than to your blog page, this way you`ll build your your email list as long as make more affiliate commissions.

All my best regards,
