Business Structure and Insurance for Online Marketing

Hi I would like to learn more about affiliate marketing and will proceed to read all the information available and eventually proceed to premium membership but before that, I would like to see information also on how to protect oneself and one's business and assets on the world wide web. This in my only apprehension as it's an industry rife with litigation and some losing all their assets.

Mark can you offer suggestions to your members first starting out what they should do to safeguard themselves from possible errors or omissions due to inexperience? Can you recommend any insurance companies that have a comprehensive cover for Marketers? and is one best having a company or trust type structure?

Form an LLC. It's quick, easy and will protect your assets in the event of financial catastrophe. I did it through legalzoom.com and it was a breeze.

Thanks Sybiantex but I'm not sure if that would work for an Australian, I'd like to hear from other Aussies what they have done.

Hi Aus,
Welcome to Affilorama.
Well as was mentioned above the best thing you can do is to set up an (LLC) (Pty Ltd)
From personal experience I would at least wait until someone is making $200 to $300 a mth.
A (Pty Ltd) company here in Australia will cost you about $1000 every year just to do the end of year taxes and costs.
I would speak to an accountant that does company tax about this though.
My accountant is great when it comes to advising me on things.
Hope that helps.
Regards
Troy
P.S. This is NOT financial advice I am just sharing my own experience.

Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize
they were the big things.

One of the requirements for a successful business is to make sure that business insurance and its structure is competitive not just offline but online as well. This is reflected in online marketing, which is now the hub of business operation.
