Backdating Blog and comment entry

On week 2 of the 90 days roadmap video, Mark said to back date our blog entry and comments to make our blog look like it's been running for some time. If someone do a Whois check, would we look silly and lose our creditability as the domain name is registered after the blog entry?

Well, sure, it would look funny. But ask yourself, who would be doing that? The average Internet surfer, or someone fairly sophisticated? I think I'm fairly in the know, and I rarely do it. And if I saw that someone had backdated their entries, I still wouldn't care if the content was good.

I would say don't worry about this. Just follow Mark's plan.

Good luck.

You can use blogger to sidestep that issue. A whois performed will bring up the blogger site, not your own subdomain.

I think the benefits outweight the negatives here, don't worry too much :)
