I often feel like that scene from The Matrix where Neo gets asked if he wants the red pill or the blue pill. In Internet Marketing you are often travelling in these different but parallel worlds.
There are two distinct phases or mindsets that you have to maintain when you are doing Internet Marketing. On the Affiloblueprint course, you learn about these areas in detail and if you are doing your homework, you will end up at the point of needing to make some decisions.
The first mindset is the creative one, where you are looking for niches, doing keyword research and looking at your landing page design.
The second mindset is the link juice one. This is the tough one and make no mistake, this is where you will wonder if you are in the right world. I don't know about anyone else, but looking at the posts and blogs I think a lot of people feel the same.
Once your site is up and running, you have to focus on quality content and of course linking that content. There is no shortcut and this takes the bulk of the effort from my perspective. There are tools like Traffic Travis to help for the first phase and while there are some tools like Affilojetpack to help you get started quickly, there is no substitute for good old elbow grease.
Sometimes it feels like a never ending desert, you are creating content, linking to it, marketing it and sharing it and for a long while, nothing. Then slowly, little patches of green start appearing and there is a glimmer of hope. Over time, more of these little patches appear and you feel like things are starting to move.
The key here is persistence. You have to keep doing it, even when you feel like it is not making a difference. Don't forget, Rome was not built in a day and the Internet is a rather large place to be in.
