I have been plodding along with Internet marketing for a few years now and then I decided to get serious some 3 months ago. I was fortunate enough to hear of Mark Ling through Mo Latif of Googlesnatch and that's how I landed on Affilorama. No regrets and probably the best support program available for anyone into Internet marketing.
Here's to each and everyone of your's success. 2010 and beyond will be the years of abundance!
Hi Janice
I've sent you a PM (private message) which gives you more info to help.
Cheers

Hi Janice
I agree mostly with James in this thread.
You are not getting sales because you are not getting targeted traffic. Doing just the Twitter thing ain't gonna work. I have done a check on just the first 5 of your keywords and you are not ranking for any of them, anywhere in any of the search engines. Sorry about the bad news, but the people searching for your keyword phrases (the buyers) will definitely not see your website, as the search engines do not even know about your website. (I can only imagine that you are doing some serious network postings on Twitter and the traffic you are getting is from people not interested in your product, or niche, or at all)
The only way to get the search engines to know, is to optimize each individual page targeting one, or at the most two, keyword phrases per page. And then the work begins to build back links with relevant anchor text (your keywords) to your site and to the individual pages . This is the tip of the iceberg.
I suggest you work through this Affilorama site taking your time to learn about the strategies. There is a lot of free information here, but I can even recommend signing up for premium membership. It is worth every cent.
Whatever you do, do not give up. Learn, take action and keep on taking action. Be patient and success will arrive.

I would stay away from copying other websites' images unless it is there for the purpose of doing just that.
You can get free or very cheap quality images at http://www.sxc.hu/

Hey again,
Right, so I just click import from sitemap, and type in the site address, including the GoogleSitemap.xml at the end. That is the way to do it right? After adding the sitemap, all my pages are shown on the analysis tab, but they have D or D+ ratings still after I analyze them. Is there anything I am doing wrong? In AB they only talk about that part of the tool for a few seconds at the end of a video...
Cheers,
Fin
Hi Fin
On the same page in TT where you are doing the page analysis, there is a "report" tab. If you click on the dropdown box, it will show the url of the page you are currently analyzing. Click on that and it will create a report for you that spells out exactly what you need to do to get the score up.

Great post guys,
I am a newbie working on my first site I have written 15 articles myself and will outsource the last 15 due to time. AB suggests using AMA but the tools on board Web2mayhem look far better. My concern only is that all the money newbies have would normally go into outsourcing article to ensure good 100% content. AS Web2 Mayhem is >$100 even more for us Australians when we convert it puts a big dent in the pocket before we had started earning any money. I realize it is not all about money but results as well so;
If you were to start all over again what would be the minimum software you would use to get started?
I am doing everything myself and have never paid for any articles or relevant services. The fact that you have written 15 articles means that you are a competent writer and it seems that your real issue is the time factor and making money fast. That's only human but my advice is to be patient. Every bit of work you do yourself, culminates in experience and will stand you in good stead in future. I would invest in Rapid Rewriter to spin my own original articles.

Hi David

You are in the right place here, but you need to hang around, keep on learning. You have made money through Internet Marketing, so you know it can be done and you have done something right in the past.
Now just need to build on that with the tricks and tips you can get here and I am sure you will be successful. If you have any money whatsoever to invest, you can trust Mark Ling and Affilorama's products. Even the free information here is worth more than a lot of "paid" subscriptions.
It sounds like you just need a helping hand to turn that $170 business into a $170 000 business. Trust these products and take action.
Good Luck

Affiliate marketing is hard work but easy if you have the right knowledge. Stick around here and you will learn and grow and become successful.
Us South Africans were rooting for Netherlands in the final, but it was not meant to be. At least we hosted a very nice world cup....so we're told :-)

Nice post Kim. I agree with Orangeboxes too.
There are some merchants that go to a lot of trouble with their affiliate resources, but then again many merchants do not seem to understand the importance of their affiliates in their lives. With many of them one gets the feeling that the resources were set up years ago and they haven't bothered too update the resources with new technology etc

Informative post Mark. It helps to get a professional analysis as it does seem more difficult to rank with Bing. Again it seems like it all boils down to getting the basics right. Commented on Monday, July 26th, 2010
Good article Aletta. So True. it is difficult to find a balance between just acting clever and being too salesy.
Enjoy your trip!

Hey Mark
As a proud Affilorama premium member, all I can say is: "You've done it again"
With the problems experienced in getting a marketing strategy implemented in this business, Affilojetpack is sure to create a storm, and knowing you and you're stuff, it is sure to be worth every cent!
As a struggling newbie (yes, I still regard myself as a newbie after months of struggling), I do not think you or anyone else could have come up with a better "address the need" product. And as a struggling newbie I reeeeaaaally would love a complimentary copy of
Affilojetpack 8-))
Best of luck with the launch!

Spot on Kim!
To all the very newbies out there, here is the catch. It is only logical that there is a lot of money to be made in affiliate marketing or Internet marketing per se. The Internet is humongus and the potential is limitless BUT the pot of gold it is only destined for those individuals that are prepared to make this a career. There is no "get rich quick" way.
Just like a medical doctor or any other professional has to study for 5 or 6 years to eventually reach their dream of living their passion and earn the income they desire (and in most instances they have to slog away another ten years before they reach the desired level of income!), just so it is with this business, just a little easier and quicker I would say, if you are serious about it.
If you are passionate about it, you will chip away at it every day of your life. Obtain knowledge, know how and expertise in every aspect of affiliate marketing, implement, fail, get up again and do it all over again until you succeed.
I have been involved with internet marketing for years but was never prepared to get my hands dirty. Oh no, there must be an easier way! Well, their isn't any easier way. The best thing one can do is pick one or two professionals you can trust (you've found one at Affilorama) and then follow their guidance and get your hands dirty.
I adopted this attitude some 6 months ago and I view it as a process of studying... to obtain a degree, then my masters degree, then a Phd with the subjects: Keyword analysis, Market Analysis, Niche market research, SEO etc. I will then go for a Phd in PPC, then Media marketing, then Youtube and then I will expect to see the money coming in. And it will!
I cannot begin to tell you how much I have learnt in the past six months. Have I made money yet? No. Because I am no ready to make money yet, so how can I expect it? But I know that I will. 80% in the planning (and learning) + 20% in the implementation and execution = 100% guarantee of a successful affiliate marketing business.
No shortcuts.
You are not going to become the top neuro surgeon in the world by winning the lottery. Period.
Sorry about the long post folks!

Congratulations Mark & Michelle, he's lovely and hopefully healthy. A God given gift that you need to treasure as such. Now you will start understanding the purpose of your lives. Enjoy him to the full! Commented on Monday, May 24th, 2010
Hi Matt, like all your articles, even on your blog, some very healthy advice.
Being a "jack of all trades" is also a consequence of fear and impatience. Fear of failure which then causes the impatience, jumping from one thing to the next, hoping it will show results with sale or two. I think we all battle with this disease (dis ease).
