As long as you're not linking back to the sites you've mentioned you should be okay.
Nothing you can do about it, and Google knows that.

Never a truer word said. That should be required reading for all of us who are using the program.
Especially useful for newbies thinking of giving up. You need to be determined and focused and active.
Thanks for sharing it William,

Shomail, you can outsource articles to Elance.com for about $2 to $3 per 100 words.
Starting off though, I'd recommend doing as much of it by yourself that yoiu can. And be aware that IM is a long term business not a get quick rich deal.
So plan for 3 to 4 months before you start getting sales (maybe sooner) and keep at it. Don't get distracted by other shiny objects.
What I'd do if I was in your shoes just starting out is pick up the program, follow it along and just do it for 6 months without joining any other programs or even visiting forums unless it's crucial.
Hope this helps,
Jason

Very strange. Why don't you try find a similar product through a CPA network or other affiliate marketing program and see what happens with that. PayDotCom.com is one to have a look at.
I can't explain it really. Worth testing though.

DA isn't the most important thing, but it is an under appreciated aspect of ranking that I think most people don't think about because they can't really do anything about it.
Also, the length that your domain has been registered for also plays a roll. Remember, that there are plenty of factors involved. Personally, I think DA is more important that people realized. You just found out.
However, I still believe you'll be able to beat them out with more links. And after all, that's all you can really control.
Take the #1 for the keyword. HubPages, a well respected and aged domain. But any of these can still be beaten, just might take more links.

Couple of things to bear in mind is how much they want to pay you for advertising and what kind of advertising that is.
One thing to be aware of, is that Google frowns on selling text links. If you get found out you could get penalized. Obviously, selling banners and other advertising is cool.

Also, what the recommended CPC is is not necessarilly what you will end up paying. If you bid .50 or 1.00 you'll likely end up paying a little less.
It also depends where you want to end up. Being first isn't always the best position. 3 and 4 perform quite well too.

another great one chris. i am always surprised by how many people want to build quick blogs or wordpress websites hosted by wordpress that they don't understand.
i think that is short term thinking. as you said we should be looking at this as building a business.

very well written article chris. as always. i've been reading a lot of fear mongering about this new ftc ruling, and i'm glad you set us straight.
my question is, well mark be updating this in the blueprint or a vid release. so far when we've been shown how to create our links it's something like this "click here to get your dog to stop barking now"
will you guys offer us some better examples we can use on our own sites?
cheers,
jason

a very well laid out strategy to writing good content. they say the pen is mightier than the sword, and i'd have to agree.
you can't find another skill that is more valuable for earning an income online than writing. it's marketing 101.
