I've always wanted my own online business but had no clue how to go about it. I was totally brand new and I didn't even know what a domain was when I started. In November 2008, I got fired from Corporate America. I decided I was never going back and that I was going to succeed online no matter what. $1,000s later and after buying every ebook, joining every get rich quick scheme on the net, I found Wealthy Affiliate.
On June 21, 2008, I found Wealthy Affiliate. While it helped me quite a bit, the program was too vast for me and so the learning curve was steep for me. There was not enough one on one. Fast forward - it's a year later and I have my own 2 websites and I work from home.
My membership at WA is expiring on June 21, 2009. I decided to try Affilorama. I like that this forum is free before you join, although I opted for a premium membership. I just joined June 10, 2009 and I know I'm going to do well.
Thanks. This is very helpful. Monday, May 24th, 2010
Hi. Thanks so much for you input. I'm a little confused though when it comes to putting in formulas for excel. can you explain the proccess again? I don't use tt but am willing to try it. I tend to like google keywords better. Friday, May 21st, 2010
Hi. I built a massive list of keywords from Google Keyword Tools. I thought when I downloaded it with th excel spread sheet it would include the search volume - however, it didn't. So now I have a keyword list with thousands of keywords and they are not categorized nor do they have search volumes so that I can choose the best keywords.
Do I now have to research each individual keyword and input the search volume? If not, how can I download the keywords from google that will already give me the search volume.
Also, how do I categorize the keywords so that it's just not ONE BIG MASS of keywords. I want to categorize them based on topics, ie, dog chewing, biting, etc. I'm going to post this in AB as well. Thanks!

I understand. It's difficult to balance your time. But if you make a schedule as best you can and try and stick with it, you'll see the returns. I'm here for you. I have used WP in the past but I don't like it. I love XsitePro. I actually bought it almost 2 years ago and never used it til I got to AB!! Isn't that funny? I think Xsitepro is way easier than WP but WP is free - then again, you get what you pay for (mostly). Let me know if I can help you. Monday, March 29th, 2010
Hi. Has someone helped you out with your dilemma? I personally hate Wordpress because of the css, the having to know codes, etc. How far along are you in your project? Also, are you doing AB? There's also a community for WP. I'm not sure that would help. Sunday, March 28th, 2010
I got a similar message from google and I was promoting a dog training product. Anyway, I still have $100 in my Adwords account. How do I get my money back from Google since they don't respond? Sunday, January 24th, 2010
Hi Troy. No. I've only had 1 account and never got warnings. Friday, December 4th, 2009
Pinging definitely works!
Hi. Mark gave me a challenge.... to build 2 full Affiloblueprint websites by May 20th. This was on April 15th. Well, I got the site up on April 16th, had several articles upon by April 18th and today, April 19th my site is indexed and my site is on page 2 of google 16th spot. Can you imagine what will happen when I start backlinking! I'm excited about this challenge!

Hi Matt. Thank you for your words of wisdom. I'm excellent at article writing and my method is SEO, but then I started to get impatient and wanted money fast so I tried to learn PPC and really it was a waste of time because why learn something from scratch when you are already good at doing one thing and you can just improve on it. At some point in the future, when I have mastered SEO and article marketing, I'll change but for now I'm going to follow your advice. Commented on Saturday, March 27th, 2010
Thank you newstart! You are right. I'm back in the game and I will PERSIST until I win. Commented on Saturday, March 20th, 2010
Hi. I totally agree. I quit Affiloblueprint because I got sidetracked. I made one site, it failed and I gave up. I want to come back but I don't want to spend the $67 a month when I was paying $47. Commented on Monday, March 15th, 2010
Although I got Google Slapped, I still believe the FTC rules make alot of sense. It does level the playing field for all. Commented on Saturday, December 5th, 2009
I think this is a very valuable post. Instant gratification used to be my goal. But I see the wisdom in setting the foundation for the long haul. Thanks for the post. Commented on Thursday, July 16th, 2009
I think the upcoming FTC regulation is a very good idea. Too many hyped up claims go unpunished. Personally, if I don't like a product, I have a difficult time promoting it. Also, it helps me give an honest review about a product I have purchased in the past, rather than give my opinion on it based on what the product seems like it could do. However, that is not always feasible.
For instance, I was a member of WA for a year trying to promote their product but I had a hard time doing it because I was not having success with the product, nor was the customer support any good! However, when I switched over to Affilorama, I now have something to compare WA to and I can give an honest review once I put my work at home niche site.
Great job Mark. Thanks for keeping us in the loop.
