You're welcome Carl. :) Keep persisting, don't give up. I look at it this way; If it was easy to make money in affiliate marketing then everyone would be into it, right? :)
Take care, all the best
Paul.

Hey Carl,
Move back from the ledge... ;) Sounds like you've been working hard and have done your homework! If your site is only one month old or so it's good you're already getting traffic! Be patient and you will see better results, I went through the same thing, believe me. Don't give up and don't be too over zealous link building - do your link building slowly, little by little. Stay with it though! Nurture your site, let it age naturally. It may take a while but you will surely start to see better results next few months! It takes a while to build Google trust for a new site I think :)
Best regards
Paul.

Hi everyone,
I have a couple of questions about anchor text and case sensitivity.
Does anyone know if it's okay to capitalize the first letters of anchor text? Does capitalization matter in anchor text at all? As an example, say I have a site built on the theme of (yes, you guessed it!) dog training, where on the left hand side menu I had a keyword "Stop Dog Jumping". At the same time that same keyword is specified in the page layout (as in Xsite Pro), lower case only (I've heard its better to do this?) as "stop dog jumping".
Is it okay to use both forms as anchor text?
Indeed is it okay to capitalize the first letters of the keyword (as written on the LHS page menu) when the page layout keyword is in lower case? Does G see this as the same thing?
Basically should every thing be lower case or doesn't it matter (ie mix it up a bit, upper and lower case versions).
Thanks - hopefully this make sense ;)

Just wondering if anyone has had any experience using Chris Rempel's "Affiliate Genie"? I wasn't sure if it was a viable alternative to XSite Pro(?)
Thanks,
Paul :)

Hi Guys,
Just thought I'd share some info. with you about a free, online ebook cover creator. I'm not sure if it's been posted here before but I couldn't see it anywhere... It's pretty cool.
Check it out at:
http://www.myecovermaker.com
You can use it to create a great ebook cover in only a few minutes. You can also use it to make box, magazine, dvd covers as well.
I thought that it might be helpful to someone! :)
Note: I have no association with this site!
Regards,
Paul.

Hey Daniel,
Nice to hear from you :)
We lodged support tickets directly through AMA. Please see ticket#958382 which they "lost" and also ticket #481814 which has never been responded to since October 13. Also send email to Marc@... as per the auto response received upon signup.... nothing heard back.
Thanks for your concern I will email you directly ASAP :)
Best wishes
Paul.
nd a separate email to you by replying to the original :"welcome to AMA" email you and Marc sent.

Hi Alan,
I know what you mean. I've only been using AMA for one month, can't get any response from the "support" area whatsoever now. Very frustrating considering we're paying for this thing. Also I can see a lot of these blog sites have 0 page rank, I guess it might help us over time when (if) those blogs develop but right now, I don't understand how having backlinks from heaps of 0 ranking sites is helping our cause(?) Alan, would you be kind enough to let us in on what software you use or recommend for creating backlinks? :)
Kind regards
Paul.

Hi Battery,
Not sure if you've found your answer by now but yes, any site owner who accepts an AMA article is free to delete your article anytime after publishing it if they choose to do so. The AMA system does not notify you that it's been deleted - it only tells you when an article has been published by incrementing the published count. It would be nice if there was another counter to keep track of whether the article is still active or not (given the subscription cost which is quite a bit of money for me anyway) but I guess that would be a big ask.
Regards
Paul.

Do we have to put an annotation with every link or is it okay to document the relationship on the disclaimer page (with a link to the disclaimer in each page footer on the site). Is this acceptable?
I agree the situation is beyond stupidity (Troy - I think EXACTLY the same as you on this believe me). I just wished our opinion's counted for something. I'm Aussie not American - why the heck should I have to subscribe to their laws when God knows we have enough of our own here to contend with. But as our opinion's don't count what's the point complaining :( A case in point: I notice that various soft drink manufacturers who advertise on television (& radio for that matter) NEVER put any copy/disclaimer on the bottom of the screen that the stuff causes osteoporosis, dental decay and can stuff your kidneys. How come? Shouldn't this kind of thing be regulated too?? Deception is rampant in the food industry!
So is it okay just to put update our disclaimers? Does anyone know?
Best wishes to you all
Paul

Do these new laws apply to affiliate websites in general, or just to blogs? Commented on Monday, October 12th, 2009
Hmmmm, I guess I will ask the obvious; is this going to be a positive (or a negative) move for Internet marketers? How will it affect SEO? At least in this business things never get boring! :) Commented on Wednesday, August 12th, 2009
Hi everyone... thanks for your feedback Mark... I'm only a newbie and have a couple of questions re your suggestion to cloak our links. I thought Google frowned upon link cloaking(?) I'm confused about the cloaking issue. Is it a legitimate thing to do, or not? If so what is the best method? Also is the Google slap only related to PPC. If we don't use PPC then should we be worried as well?
Thanks again
Paul.
