I have been working online since 2008, but didnt really find success until I wandered into Affilorama
Now, I run 20 websites in various niches including IM, Dating tips, Get your ex back, building relationships that last, and self esteem training. By following Mark's training, I am now fully self-employed, and working my way to becoming a true super affiliate.
Check out IMRelations and HomeCash101. Let me know what you think. Make sure you leave any questions you have. We are all here to help each other be better at our marketing.
I don't think that they have one in the premium area, but there is one in the Affilotheme for wordpress, which you can use if you are an AB or AJP member. Friday, September 3rd, 2010
I have done some simple power point slides using CamStudio which is free. usually takes me about 45 minutes to create the slide show record, and edit for a 2-3 minute video Friday, September 3rd, 2010
hey gmesh and Paul,
AB basically is laid out in a 12 week course it breaks down what you should do each week. however it is based on Mark's estimation at the time that most of the people starting out had about 2-3 hours / day to work on it. you will go through different weeks at a different pace. I got through the first six weeks in 5 days, and spent 3 months on the next six weeks.
You get a 30 day trial of affilorama premium, but then you have to pay for it after that. Premium membership gives you access to The custom tools that Mark has had made. most of them will benefit you since they do a lot of the things that AB teaches you to do.
it is a complete step by step system. there are some rough spots that some people struggle with, but over all it is the best step by step system available.
They have done a lot of updating of the videos although there are still some which need to be updated, Mainly in the use of aweber, and how their opt in forms are created.
Mark really does try to help out his students, as much as he can, short of just building a site for you and handing it over.

I always create multiple squidoo lenses and hubpages, the more the merrier. like i said, don't rely on one source though. use different sites and set yourself a system. it can be tricky but you want a system that is a logical flow for you but will look randomly natural to the search engines.
For example, I have accounts at about 100 different social sites, and 20 different article directories, but not every one of them is used for every article. I actually only syndicate each article on about 50 different sites. I randomly post each article to make my link building look more like natural links. I also do 2-3 guest posts on blogs within my niche every month.;

I have a double backup system in place. I have a gmail account set up that all my sites email a backup to weekly, I back up my hard drive weekly, and I keep a hard copy and email of all my important doccuments including my excel files, password lists and other important info.
of course I don't have anything on the scale of Mark's (yet) but you can never have too many backups.

Nice to see you again Aletta, hope you are enjoying being away from the office during product launch. We miss your wit and charm.
Hey Clayton, you are doing a great job at it. enjoy your vacation, you deserve it. I am taking a week off next month for my first vacation in like 3 years. going to go to disney and universal, since I live in Orlando and have never been to any of the tourist traps.

yeh, to get any real benefit out of social bookmarking, you do have to be social, otherwise stop wasting time with it.
I spend about 1 hour/day on bookmarking my sites. part of that time is posting and part of it is socializing on my profiles. I try to spend 15 -20 minutes every week commenting making friends requests and building up my standing in the community. it doesn't take long, and I recommend limiting to 10 or so bookmarking sites. you really don't need more than that.

I think it depends on how you want to approach the niche. if you want a set it and forget it business, then passion is not necessary. for blogging, which really takes a lot of attention and effort initially, I think passion for the niche is a must. My blog posts just would not be as good if I wasn't passionate about my topics.
I personally think that you should follow passions for the first site, just to keep you going when things are not working, especially if you are in a niche proven to be an evergreen money maker. Often, its not the niche, but how people approach it that determines whether it is profitable or not.
I see your point about choosing one that you are interested in, but not super passionate about. however, I find that my writing is better in niches that I am personally interested in. this increases my conversions and adds genuine flavor to my site.
Maybe it is just me, but I can tell by reading the content if someone is passionate about their niche, or just trying to make a buck. usually the ones that are just out to make money wont ever see me again.

I like choosing a non keyword domain myself. IMRelations for example is not keyword optimized but is memorable and most people involved in the IM niche instantly see it as relevant. Same with your domain here at Affilorama Commented on Sunday, August 8th, 2010
Great Post here. I agree. I hate seeing a swipe email that is full of bad spelling and grammar.
Also, If you have special criteria, or dont give out review copies please state it in the affiliate areas so that we don't waste your time or ours by requesting them.
Answer affiliate support emails. Ihave had a few that I emailed and never got a response. if that happens to me as an affiliate, I will assume it happens to your customers too, and i will drop you like a rock.

This is really great Mark. Love the report. Even though I have run email lists myself, I still learned a few things that I was doing wrong.
One question though, because this is different than previous training from you in AB.
Before you recommended contacting every day for the fist 7 days, this time I see you spacing out the emails more in the beginning. Is the first 7 day rule out the window now?
I also see that you are jumping into a hard sell quicker than previously recommended. Is this due to testing or simply another way that also works?
thanks for your insight. Every time you speak or release something new, I learn something.

@ Crystalo1. My comment was just about the articles themselves. As a freelance writer, I would charge 3k for just one of the high value packages, and he is giving 5 away with each one. as far as graphics and everything else in the package, you are right the whole thing would probably cost around 10k to build. This is awesome Mark. Being a freelance writer, I am fixing to shoot myself in the foot here. I am already putting together my promotion for the Jetpack. This training is top notch, and reading through the report I see even more.
I have been in AB for a Year this week, and every time you put out something new, I still learn something. I have seen other similar products, but I can already see that you have closed the gap that most of them leave open to failing.
Thanks for all of your hard work. I cannot wait to jump into the jetpack i will be recommending this to all my clients. I couldn't do all of this for less than 3k just for one niche.
