I think viral ebooks are a marketing strategy that stands the test of time - provided they are good. Not many people can resist a free quality PDF guide on 10 Natural Remedies for Acne That Work or Learn to Play Stairway to Heaven on the Guitar like a Pro.
I'm not so sure about sites that offer pre-written ebooks though - I imagine you would always have to go through and edit them a bit yourself. But if you list the names of these sites, I can investigate further!

Just came across this today and was wondering if anyone has tried it out? http://claim.io/welcome
Apparently it will claim your name (or business name) on 300 different social networks and automatically post your brand and logo.

Hi idleme125,
I would take a look at what other people are charging for eBooks in the same industry, and then just try testing a few different price points. There a quite a few ebooks for sale on eBay and Craigslist, so that could be a good place to start.
As for length, I would say least 40 pages to make it worth the money, and up to about 60-80 pages. You can pad it out a bit with graphics and formatting.
This isn't really our area of expertise, but I hope that provides some help :)

No, they have only had problems in the past 9-10 days. Have always been stable before that :) Sunday, January 17th, 2010
Hi Sylvan,
AMA are currently experiencing some issues with their server. They have been working on fixing this all week, so I'm sure it will come right soon. In the meantime, they are probably bombarded with support, which is why it's a little slow.
They told us on Monday that the issue only lies with logging in the account and doesn’t affect the daily distribution of articles and auto-approving of articles for the site owners.
Please let me know if you still have problems tomorrow, and we can try contacting them on your behalf.

Redirects still cloak your links so people can't see your hoplink etc. You could use link shortening, but personally I think mysite.com/recommends/greatproduct looks much more professional than a typical shortened link like http://tiny.cc/cpkBt Wednesday, January 6th, 2010
Hi - It's always a good idea to change all PLR articles before using them, including the Premium ones, to avoid duplicate content penalties. It only takes one or two other people to use them as well and you're in trouble :) Wednesday, January 6th, 2010
@Stuart:
1. You should add the URL of the actual post/page you want to ping.
2. It is best to delete the Ping function in WordPress when you use the Affilorama Ping tool, but it won't spell complete & utter disaster if you don't!
@Florette: Look forward to your feedback :)

@Wynne: There are two reasons why our tool is better:
(1) A lot of services other tools ping to fail.
(2) Our tool has more services that they don't offer.

It's so important to invest your first profits back into your business for long term gain - but so tempting for people to take them out and spend them instead! Another excellent post by Chris on a major reason for new businesses failure. Commented on Monday, August 10th, 2009
Wow excellent stuff Chris - Thousands of people under 30 will be crying tears of joy and gratitude when they realise they no longer need to spend hours coaching their parents through the big bad world of the interweb! Commented on Monday, August 10th, 2009
