About Me:

I am mother to a female nurse, a male computer scientist, and two school-age boys, as well as grandmother to two little girls. Hubby is in Tourism, so we get to go to places here and there. My trusted laptop goes with me everywhere. Thinking of it now, I believe I spend a lot more time with Laptop than with anything or anybody else. Hmmmm....something seems to be wrong somewhere.......
Having studied computers at a time when there wasn't even a graphical user interface yet and COBOL was the "in" thing, I am glad to have kept up with technology, somehow. Wish I knew everything, but there's so much out there that it's really not possible. Let's just say I know enough to be dangerous, ha ha ha....
Before joining Affilorama, I worked for a leading US internet service provider as well as a leading US telecommunications company. And now I am working for the leading training and community site for aspiring affiliate marketers. Hope all those leading qualities rub off on me so I could be leading, too :)

Re: Plans for Next Site

In a recent post from Fara (staff) she recommends link building to your site asap
That's right.

What I do myself is ping, bookmark and submit spins on AMA and directories as soon as I have put up each article on my site. And then I go back to writing again. The cycle I follow is:

1. research the niche and come up with a set of at least 30 keywords

2. work on writing one article for one of the keywords

3. When I finish writing the article, I rewrite it 2-3 times

4. put the original up on my site, and ping and bookmark

5. spin the rewrites for AMA and directories (with backlinks inserted, of course)

6. review the remaining keywords to make sure that they are still the best to use

7. repeat from number 2 above

When I encounter writer's block, I go on forums and blogs to post comments. Thursday, September 2nd, 2010

Re: Affiloblueprint - should I still buy?

Hi Paul,

If you are more into fishing than being given a fish, the AffiloBlueprint is better for you, although you are not really just being given a fish in AffiloJetpack.

In AffiloBlueprint, you learn to do everything yourself. In AffiloJetpack, a lot of the things that you would have to do yourself in AffiloBlueprint have already been done for you but you also still learn a lot about setting up and running our own affiliate site.

AffiloJetpack is something like a shortcut of AffiloBlueprint.

I hope that helps :) Thursday, September 2nd, 2010

Re: Very simple question!

Hi!

Yes, there are marketers who link directly to merchant sites from their google adwords ads and other ads.

However, we do not recommend that. It is much better to have your own site and promote products from that site. Why? When people find your site useful, they will keep coming back and thus you will have multiple opportunities of selling different products to the same (loyal) site visitors. It's like having fans (like if you were an actor or a singer).

Plus, you will also have the opportunity to build your mailing list. Having a mailing list will give you even more money-making opportunities.

Furthermore, with a website, you will also be able to establish yourself as an authority in the particular niche that you are in, and when you are an authority, people tend to follow your recommendations more readily. Thursday, September 2nd, 2010

Re: Question for Mark Ling?

@guided, we do not have a program named afflioanilation. What we have are Affilorama Premium, AffiloBlueprint, and AffiloJetpack.

@kdselect, how and where did you save your website? Tuesday, August 31st, 2010

Re: How to find a profitable affiliate program in CJ

You can check on Network Earnings as well as the 3 Month and 7 Day EPCs; the higher these are, the better selling the product is. You will also want to look at the commission rates; some are in percentages and some are in dollar amounts.

I go for those programs which have high network earnings and EPCs and at the same time pay out high commissions. Tuesday, August 31st, 2010

XsitePro vs Wordpress - What is the best software?

I use wordpress and I have not really had any problems. I have encountered a few glitches here and there and quite a bit of testing is required to see which plugins and themes work together, but nothing major has ever come up. Considering that wordpress is free to use, it really is a bargain.
I also have xsitepro but I prefer wordpress as I find it easier to set up websites with wordpress. With wordpress, I could get websites up and running in as little as 20 minutes, provided the domain has propagated, of course. Commented on Thursday, April 8th, 2010
