I agree Sean talk about coming straight from the Horses mouth. You cant go wrong there. Did you see the part in the video where he showed the example of the default Wordpress Theme and how many times he sees them and people never change them which he doesnt like. Friday, August 21st, 2009
It would be in everyone's best interest to see and hear what Google likes and this is coming straight from Matt Cutts who is the head SEO Guru working for Google.
I posted some bullet points for those who dont want to watch which I suggest you do
-Matt Cutts prefers Wordpress because it takes care of 80 to 90% of Search Engine Optimization
-He likes Akismet, Cookies For Comments, Feedburner, Wordpress Super CACHE and Enforce WWW Plug-Ins
-Google crawls roughly for Pagerank. He gives an example on how Google gives Pagerank to websites. If one website has 10 links coming from Authority sites: Newyork Times, LA Times, Readers Digest etc and another website has 20 links coming from Non-Authority websites Google will give a higher Pagerank to the website that has the 10 Authority links.
-Touches on Backlinks: How does Google rank pages? You want to be relevant (stuff thats on your page, the mechanics of how you write) and reputable (what people say or know about you).
Overall he mentioned somethings that I didnt know and some I did. If I could spend a day with that guy, get him drunk and really spill the Google secrets I'll be a Millionaire lol

Had an idea! I found out that both 1800 flowers and Pro Flowers had an affiliate program. I guess those who are in the Get Your Ex Back Niche could sprinkle some 1800 Flowers and Flowers To Go affiliate links on your website. Friday, August 14th, 2009
Great find! Interesting that Flowers hold two of the top five spots. Hmmmmm gonna see if maybe they have an affiliate program but how the hell do you write about flowers hahaha.
Hey Avidpoet,
I know what you're thinking...You want to get into this niche don't you? LOL
It's definitely a seasonal niche but it might be worth taking a look at...hmmm....
Regards,
Renato
Havent really thought about getting into the Niche per se but some of the hottest books on Clickbank are in the "Get Your Ex Back" mold and I guess them and the Flowers go hand in hand lmao

Interesting linking pattern you have Randy. I back engineered some of the links in the top five and I see you own the first 4 spots with one spot having an indented listing as of 10 minutes ago. There arent any advertisers paying for the keyword which means it isnt profitable but to own the first 4 spots out of 38 million pages is impressive. You must have a few link wheels going there (smile) Wednesday, August 12th, 2009
I use to be the one to jump at every offer I see but now I find it to be quite easy to just ignore. I just become mindful that for every new opportunity that comes along you still have to start over from scratch wheras if you just find one opportunity and keep at it you will find yourself moving forward. A guy on the Warrior Forum tested a phrase and he noticed that the new Google search engine ranks pages by on page SEO factors rather than Backlinks. I always thought that on page SEO was universal but apparently alot of people still dont get it which is good for us here. Commented on Thursday, August 13th, 2009
Bing and Yahoo come to agreement then Facebook acquires Friend Feed. I think Google is sensing a lil heat albeit not much but it does make me wonder. Facebook acquiring Friend Feed is a very very big deal folks at least I think so. Just think of the possibilities if you are on Facebook and you are able to do your searches from Facebook without ever leaving. The game is definitely changing and I got my eye on Facebook that is a big deal. Commented on Wednesday, August 12th, 2009
Lawrence Amazon.com is an Authority site. Its one big kick A$$ review site if you break it down but they've been online since forever so sites like that get alot of love from Google. They also have thousands and thousands if not hundreds of thousands of pages online. Commented on Monday, August 3rd, 2009
While Google is so busy slapping us they need to worry about the new deal that Yahoo and Microsoft inked recently lol.. Looks like Yahoo and Bing are trying to slap Google. Commented on Thursday, July 30th, 2009
