Hi

Is there such a thing as a free word counter?
I could only find one's I had to pay for.
It would be such a help with these articles.

Hi,

Do you mean counting the number of words in a document? If it's a MS Word document you can select "Tools->Word Count" and get it there. If it's a PDF or HTML page then you can copy and paste the content into a Word document and use Word Count.

I'm not sure if this is what you're asking though, so my apologies in advance if I'm off.
