How Much To Rewrite

Hello,
First I'm not sure how much rewriting is enough. I know it says to make sure you are getting at least 50% different in the comparison tool but check this out... when I compared two completely different articles (on different topics) just for kicks, Marks compare tool told me they were ONLY 89.79% different yet only marked 4 three word segments (12 words out of 500) as not changed. If I do the same with one of mine I get about the same difference (85.64%) but with many more duplicate sentence segments.
I have been preparing my AMA format by rewriting each sentence 3 times and then adding in different versions of words where it's appropriate. My articles are getting 85% and up difference on Marks tool but it's a lot of work. My concern is that when I do less (like leave entire sentences unchanged) I am still getting 70% difference but wonder if this will not pass as original because of the larger number of duplicate segments. Does that make any sense?
Doesn't Unique Article Wizard just move around paragraphs between rewrites for their unique content? Entire paragraphs duplicated seem a little much, doesn't it?
BTW: The second paragraph is 91.67% different than the first. LOL

Hi Stephen
When using AMA go for the 3x3 approach - this means rewriting a sentence at least 3 times, and having at least 3 variations for each major word in the sentence.
This means that for each of the 3 rewrites if you use a word like "tired" replace this word with lazy, sloth-like or weary if they fit the context of the sentence.
Doing that will mean your articles will be unique enough to avoid any duplicate content problems.

Thanks for the reply Mark, I guess I'm doing it right then but I'm still looking to outsource it. Short on time and writing takes me forever!

I can understand that - writing can seem like a painful pastime! But the theory is that the more you do it the easier it gets?
Keep up the good work.

That's true, except that, on occasion, one gets writer's block. In which case leave it then go back to it when your mind has cleared.

I just found out about the article compare tool, and this is a concern of mine too. Could any of you tell me exactly what 50% different really means?
I would have thought an article was 50% different if half the content was changed, but in AMA you can have articles that are 300% different, so there goes that theory.

Don't try to shortcut it. I know re-writing sucks and it can be really boring, but just re-write the whole thing. Err on the side of safety.
I don't understand AMA either. How can an article be more than 100% different?

The idea with giving an article a rewritten percentage is just to give a rough guide as to how many unique versions of the original article can be spun for the blog sites publishing the articles. Its more an arbitrary figure to let them know how much its been rewritten, and the higher the percentage the more chance they'll have a very unique article on their site.

I remember viewing a video from Mark about a month ago on rewriting articles, but I'm not sure where on the site I found it and now that I am ready to rewrite some, I can't find it again. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Thanks

The lesson on rewriting articles can be accessed by clicking "The Outsource Method Bonuses" icon on your homepage under "Access Additional Products".
