Alright I'm ready to outsource this task... I hate doing it and it never gets done because of that. I would like to outsource my spinning. Has anyone had success with this? Do a lot of elance/odesk workers already know how to do this? I don't want to have to hold someone's hand and I'm not even sure how much I need to pay for it. Any thoughts?

I have a girl from the Phillipines from odesk that does it for me.... I had to train her on what to do, but she does a good job. I started paying her $4/hour but now she gets $6/hour.

You are paying too much. You can get good workers for half that price. But then again, whatever works for you I guess. =)

I got a bit of cash for the holidays and I'm also looking to try outsourcing spinning. I'm interested in others' responses.

Renato, didn't you have an article writing service (used to be in your signature, before you changed it)? I think you charged something like $0.05/word, right? So that would be about $25 for a 500 word spinnable article if my math is right, right?

Can anyone else give an idea of what to expect to pay for spinning?

My girl is high quality and honest, we have a good relationship. She can do an article in AMA using the 3x3 rewrite rule in about 45 minutes. If you want to pay someone $2/hour then... you will probably sacrifice some quality and I don't feel comfortable paying so little to my employees as I am making good money now......

I commend that. That's the whole reason I took up internet marketing. My day job currently pays $8.50 an hour and my boss charges clients $22/h so more then half my wages go into my bosses pocket. All she has to do is maintain a small one room office. I have no health insurance/benefits/paid days off. It's out of pure greed I'm struggling to get by. If I could pay my article writers more I would. I currently employee one journalist college student who is a good friend and is un-employed at the moment. I under pay him by A LOT not out of choice but out of the fact I can't afford to pay him well right now which he understands so we are working on it. One day I hope to pay him much more when everything is running at a more steady pace!

That's pretty reasonable, Newb. You can have 4 articles spun for around 20 bucks. I'd be willing to pay that. ;)

So it sounds like to spin an article with the AMA 3x3 rule it should cost around 8 bucks?

I did a bunch of research on craigslist, reaching out to folks in Manila. Maybe it's just me, but the two individuals I talked to wanted close to 30 bucks per article to spin it. Maybe I should keep looking. lol

In Elance, if you look closely, you can find a QUALITY writer to spin an article for $5.00 ea.
I have been told that they can do 2 articles per hour.
