Hi guys, could those with experience comment on how much would be an average cost and how much I should pay for 10 articles that are 500 words and keyword targeted. Either through Elance or members who offer writing services here. If anyone has had success with a writer could you give me a heads up, either publicly or private mail it would be appreciated.

My niche requires a "somewhat" scientific focus directed to a general audience.

It depends on your budget. I was payed $1 for each article no less than 250 words. from that a 500 word article must get $2 or $2.5 per article. That makes $20-25 of 10 articles. Oh yes, it also depends of which kind of writing you need.

Talha, thanks for the feedback, I am willing to spend more for good copy writing, can the group suggest writers, alternative sites to Elance that you have worked with and found successful.

Well I'm a writer and I charge $2 per 100 words. But there are writers that will even work for $1 per 500 words so like the guy above said it depends on the quality you are looking for.

@DaveEh, it depends on your budget and judgment. If you need to work with a quality article then you have to pay more. You also need to check the profile and the feedback with the writers. Most ghost writers with great feedback demands more per article.

For some decent quality articles you need to budget around 6-8$ per article. Don't waste your time with foreign $2 article writers... You'll just be pulling your hair out in the long run.
Usually 10-20$ article writers as well are really good, but you can usually find the same quality for much cheaper.
