Is it a lot harder building a website with a Mac Computer. So many times, instructions are for PC's and I get a little lost using a Mac. I finally figure it out, but sometimes things just don't work properly such as downloading a picture. Is it just the newbie in me?

NOPe Mac users have a lot of trouble. most software and training is given for PC users because they are more popular. There are some out there that teach mac though. will pm you with some suggestions.

I have a Mac and I've managed to get by alright. Granted some software packages are unfortunately PC only (*cough* Traffic Travis). You can always use Parallels or Bootcamp to run Windows on your Mac.

I have not tried it myself, but I know Rapid Rewriter runs on Mac OS.

Unfortunately, I got The Best Spinner (Windows only) before Rapid Rewriter was released. TBS is a good program, it's just a pain to switch over to Windows to use it. I would get Rapid Rewriter if I had to make the same choice today.

I've heard a lot of good things about Rapidweaver on different forums I surf. You should give it a try I think. Though I've never tried it myself. I just went out and got the Dreamweaver CS5 for Mac though earlier this month.

EDIT: well I didn't go out ha, I just ordered it online.

I love my Mac...can't stand the thought of going back to a PC. Mac's just work. If you are a techie, I think you might like a PC but if you don't really want to "look under the hood", I reckon a Mac is great. You are right that some programs don't run on Mac OSX, but you can install parallels for this. Would love a Mac version of traffic travis too....

I myself would like to have a Mac. I have heard only good things about it. Is it true that malware can not infect a Mac? But the fact that there are indeed programs that I would not be able to use on a Mac unless I have a vm utility is holding me back. There is also the cost: Macs are supposedly more expensive than PCs and I would have to factor in the cost of the vm utility, too.

That is why i am keeping TT on my laptop pc, and getting a desktop Mac for everything else...:)

Careful though... You can still get viruses and all that other nasty stuff if you run Windows on a Mac.

LoL thats why I am keeping my laptop so that i run windows seperately. :)
