Share Button That Does Not Display Number of Shares

Without saying how many shares we already have?

Many thanks,

Try http://www.addthis.com .

It's really easy to add (just add a snippet of code into the header of your site) and gives you a whole bunch of options. We use it here on Affilorama -- look at any of our free lesson pages.

Hey Aletta,

can you please walk me through the process of adding the addthis bar to my website?

You would need to tell me how you've built your website.

If you're using AffiloTheme, you would set up an account with AddThis, get the universal piece of script that they give you to put on your site, and add it into the AffiloTheme > Advanced Tweaks > Custom header code box.

Then inside AddThis you can activate certain services for your website. I've found that the share buttons that show up on the side of the page and stick with you as you scroll down the page are most effective.

If you wanted to add sharing buttons to the bottom of your articles, AddThis will give you a snippet of code to paste into the "text" view of each article.

They probably have some pretty good tutorials on their site... a bit better than Aletta's walk-through. The main thing to know with AffiloTheme is that the code needs to go in that Advanced Tweaks > Header code box.
