Problems loading website to my hosting account
I new to this and but I have been trying to get a web site up and running but have a lot of problems loading it to my hosting account.
I am using Serif webplus9 which is very easy to build a web page.
I have my hosting from affilorama.com/hosting and also brought my Domain name from Mark also.
E-mailed affilorama and been told I need to get myself an FTP server and was given Filezilla and Mark say there is a tutorial on how to use this.( can not find it?)
Watch part two of the mini course on getting a basic web page on line. Was shown hostgator. Don’t know if this is the same for affilorama/hosting) but this doesn’t say anything about having a FTP server?
So my first question is - has any body used this Serif web plus 9 software?
My second question is could some one tell me what the following means. What is and where to find FTP user name? - What is a web site URL - What is a FTP site URL - what is host name or code?
On mini course it shows two codes to paste and use. I have looked through all my emails from affilorama/hosting for these sorts of codes but don’t see them anywhere? Help!

I'm sure Mark will get you sorted out.
Your website URL is your domain. like Google.com, Yahoo.com etc...
Your username and password should be supplied to you from your webhost... you will have to ask Affilorama hosting for that then.
Filezilla is really easy to use.... you just put in those details... connect... and drag and drop your files into your server.

The Filezilla tutorial is in the August Affilorama Update PDF.
The software you use to create your webpage doesn't really matter. Some software has an FTP program built into it, which can create confusion because it might make uploading a slightly different process. But in this case we'll get you to use Filezilla, which is completely separate and allows you to see what's going on.
The tutorial goes into more depth with this (and has screenshots) but the information you need is this:
* Your FTP server is some variation of your website name. Usually something like yourdomain.com, although occasionally it might be ftp.yourdomain.com . You will have been given this information when you signed up for hosting, otherwise you can try the support section of the Godaddy website. (Affilorama hosting is done through Godaddy.)
* Your username. You will also have been given this in a welcome email when you signed up for hosting. Often it's an abbreviation of your domain name.
* Your password. Ditto above, you will have been given this in that email.
Find the tutorial in the August Update PDF and it'll walk you through how to enter this information into Filezilla and then start uploading. Rather than sitting here and typing it all out again, I suggest you go take a peek at that and then get back to us if you have any problems or don't understand anything :)
You'll also find a pretty nice tutorial on uploading here:

All the best,
