Does my domain name need to have a good search volume?

Hi,

Could anyone please advise?

Is it important for a domain name to have good search volume?

Thanks.

It helps. I've noticed that Yahoo and Bing tend to put more weight on the domain name when it comes to rankings than Google does.

But it's not mission-critical.

Often when you aim a domain name at keywords you end up with something completely unmemorable! And it might take you a LOOOONG time to find an available domain name with highly searched for keywords in it.

Having the keyword in the domain is not nearly as important as it was a few years ago. Still it is useful but there are more powerful ways to get ranked.

Hey,

You said domain name? I think you mean keyword... nobody is searching for you domain name.

As for getting the keywords in your domain name (if it's what you mean), it does help, but if you can't, don't get mad about it. It's not required.
