Is it a good idea to use link exchange sites?

ie http://www.linkmarket.net/
you post your links and get requests or send requests to trade links to your sites. good or bad?

Link exchange like this was working great a couple of years ago, but today, you don't need it anymore, there are so many web 20 sites like squidoo and others.
